Summer Jones. She was the most dedicated player I've ever seen. Just watching her made you want to be better. She got some pretty good playing time at East Tennessee as well. I would love to know how great she would be if she was still playing.

There is no way Whitney Lykens should be included in that list, after she had her nervous breakdown she played like crap!!!!!!!!!

Well, it is very immature and inconsiderate to talk about the personal lives of people on these postings. Lykens was by far one of the best shooters in the 58th during her 4 years at BL.

Perhaps we should compare her stats to other point guards of her era?! I think she would be at the top. She did manage to take her career to a higher level, even if it is Alice Lloyd. That's more than most players in thie area have done. Everyone has an opinion, but I must disagree. She was a tremendous player with a lot of devotion and hustle.
#14
Selena Williams of Johnson Central (2000) HAS TO BE added to the list, not only was she a great high school player who led her team to the state tournament, but she also just finished her Senior season with the Pikeville College Lady Bears where she finished her college career with over 1,000 points 600 rebounds and 200 assists.

Devon could not even use her left hand in high school......If you pushed her to her left she turned the ball over almost everytime...
#20
I beg to differ, but everyone has their opinions. Again, where were you on the collegiate level?

I got offer's from plenty of places but I choose not to go..I wished I would have now but there is nothing I can do about it now. Did you play or get any offer's? lol
#22
Yes, I played at Morehead for one year until I had two reconstructive knee surgeries, blah. I got offers from the locals, of course, but chose to play at MSU. You should have went--it's good experience.
#23
I would like to add to my list
Jessica Hamilton - BL
Natalie Cooley - AC
Freeman - Phelps
#24
Ashley Damron-she went to sv
she was an excellant post player and was tough
i think she deserves for her jersey to be retired as much as summer jones does
#25
Amanda Collins
Misty Haynes

What other players have been as successful as these two girls after their high school career was finished? None that I know of.

Where did you play college basketball?

At the end of my freshman year I had offers, but told them I wasn't interested in playing ball. All through high school I had plenty of coaches ask if I wanted to play at the next level and I told them no...lmao....lol.

Did you get to play?

Perhaps we should start a new forum of 20 questions for BLSHalum53. Yes, actually, I did. I busted my knee during the second exhibition game of the season and had surgery. Was released in early March and completely reinjured in the Spring--I had to give it up after that and served as student-athlete coach. If you have any more questions about my personal life, please just send a pvt message so that we don't clog up the forum, thanks!
#29
And I do believe that you were asking some questions of you own.

This thread will be watched!!!!
