Pikeville went 2-1 in the round robin part of the tourney. Their only loss was to PRP.
I seen on the schedule that Shelby Valley was 2-0, it hasnt been updated when we left the gym. The games are played in three different locations. The tourney starts tomorrow with Pikeville playing at 9 in the morning.

Pikeville finished up their Frankfort camp 2-2. They didnt look that bad to have had only one starter from last years season. A lot of the younger players got some really good experience.
I seen on the brackets that Shelby Valley was 2-1 and got a first round bye in the tourney.

I think that that is the biggest plus to summer basketballfanonly in that many teams play without some of their players and thus the younger players have an opportunity to see how they can do. Summer is not all about winning every game. I can't remember who won the summer championships last year. Just my opinion however.

That is what I was saying. It was better for the younger ones to get experience in games that dont really matter for anything except bragging rights. I could tell a difference in the younger ones from the first game to the last.

Well I don't reckon, Pikeville sees they can't compete with Shelby Valley's talent in the 15th, so they go out and recruit themselves a nationally ranked player, that's sad.

I left to go to another gym before they played it. watched them play 1 game they lost by 5 i think to a team from Virginia. They did look pretty good during streches of that game. But good luck tomorrow do you know who they play?

Also, UK is very, very interested in him. Rumor has it that BW met with Billy G while Pikeville was in Lexington for Transy's camp. However, BW is pleading the 5th on the whole situation. I begged him for any info on the situation but he wouldn't budge. I know something is up but he pleaded the 5th on the whole deal and said "we will see" with a grin.
The only way this is sad is if you are a SV fan!!

Just the same as any other school would be hoping if he was going to be moving in their district.

does anyone know where & when Pikeville plays 2moro.?
i would really like to watch them

Betsy Layne did not go back today so I guess that must have been yesterday against Pikevilles Jv, not sure just what I was told today.
06-19-2007, 11:02 PM
No it wasnt against Pikeville's JV it was against their varsity. Betsy layne had a varsity 1 and varsity 2 Betsy Layne's varsity 1 had a game at the expo at 9 and Betsy Layne's JV and varsity 2 had back to back games at Pikeville at 8 and 9 so Betsy Layne's JV just played as the varsity 2 team against Pikeville's varsity.
06-19-2007, 11:02 PM
But yes that game was yesterday.
06-20-2007, 10:09 AM
