summer games
#1
I have been out of town for a few days.... any early results for 15th region summer games?
#2
Yesterday at Pike Central, it was as follows:

Pike Central over P-burg

Pikeville over P- burg

Pikeville over Pike Central

The only JV game I seen was Pikeville over Pike Central

In P-burgs defense, they only had one varsity player to play, Jordan Hall who was shooting the lights out of it.

Thats the thing about summer, you hardly ever see a team play with everybody due to vacations, footballl, and other things.
#4
ER had some summer games didnt they????
#5
I know Harlan beat Allen Central but AC only had 5 players play in this game due to other things.
#6
Also next week on the 12th and 14th @ knott county they are games all day with around 8 different games being played.
#7
AC has 7 returning Varsity players. I think Josh Prater is the only one missing from summer ball now.

Does anyone know how the 13th is doing this summer especially Cumberland

Cumberland is currently 14-0 & have notable wins such as a 14 point win over Bearden,TN(class 3A state runner up in TN and returned 3 starters),20 point win over Barbourville,20 point win over Buckhorn, and 101-44 win over Knox Central.

They must have had the daddies of some of the Knott players officiating that game in their back yard

no not really itr was some of the 14ths best officials and i know ur gonna blast the 14th refs when i say that but it was legit..... knott took away the fast break and rebounded well to beat the skins...... good effort by the pats
#17
I know this isn't about the Cumberland game, but the topic is summer games. Who was that other big boy that Pikeville had at T.U.? He looked to be about 6'8" or maybe even 6'9"?

I doubt very seriously it was legit, I know what happens when very strong 13th Region teams come over to the 14th, but Cumberland must have not played the way they are capable of playing because they should be and are a 15 to 18 point better team than Knott County and if they happen to meet in the wymt tournament you will see what I am talking about.

You hit the nail on the head.Cumberland didn't come to play and Knott did.If Cumberland would have played like they are capable this would a have been a route IMO.

well imnot sayin your wrong or anything but as of right now knott central beat them without 2 major contributors.......

this thread is about summer games in the 15th please stick to the topic!

He is from Atlanta. I was going to make a highlight film for utube about the Transy camp when we get back from the camp in Frankfort we are leaving for in a few minutes.

At the Transy camp, Pikeville went 5 and 5 with one scheduled game not played. They beat Central Hardin, Hopkins Co. Central, Tates Creek, Russel, and Marion County. Losses to Clinton Co., Oldham, Muhlenberg North, and St. Henry. They got beat out of the second round of the tourney with a loss to Muhlenberg North, the second time they played them in the tourney.

I realize summer ball is quite a bit of difference from the real season but from what Knott Central has shown so far they are going to give alot of people all they want.

So Pikeville got another big guy transfer?
#25
The Pikeville college camp is coming up. There are several 15th region teams participating in it.

If his mom gets the job, Pikeville could start alot of size, as in 6'9 and 6'8, or Coach Williams could use all the size for 10 fouls in the middle. He, Coach Williams, would be in a spot that most coaches in the state would love to be in. Two big men to play.

It would definately be nice to start that kind of size in the 15th region, but can the kid play at all?

We know what it's like for 14th region teams to come to the 13th, Clay Co. Harlan is a good team. See ya at the WYMT.

He is still rough, but he would help out about any team he played on. Great jumper, pretty quick up and down the floor. IMO, he just needs to make better decisions on what he can and cant do.
