I wouldn't call college student athletes who bust their *** for Kentucky morons that's for sure. So they lost. Yeah it's unfortunate but it's not the end of the world. Vandy is a good team, and I know UK should have won but they didn't. Get over it.

Its a sad sad feeling to see UK get beat like they did, why was Thomas even in? And why in the lords name did he have the ball? I guess that Tubby thought that the great Sheray Thomas was going to get the game winner, wrong! UK proves once again that they cant put 2 solid halves together, played great the 1st half and the tires fell apart the 2nd half. Since were so use to seeing this, I can only hope and pray they play a horrible first half and come out on fire in the 2nd, that way we might get a win! Never thought in my life would I ever hear Vanderbilt wins 4th in a roll over UK. Time for some changes, and I mean time for some changes!! And congrats to Vanderbilt, they wanted it more the 2nd half.

They were looking for Morris on the play, it appeared to be designed for Crawford to come of the pick and hit Morris, but Crawford got knocked down leaving Thomas trapped. I'm unsure why he was in too, but the play was foiled way before he got the ball.

They don't mope around. They played hard today and busted their butts all game. Vandy just played a better game, and got some breaks at the end.

I am just kinda sick over us losing today.I really thought we would pull it out.I always think the cats are going to win.Vanderbilt gave us every chance to win.A whole lot of other teams would have beaten them today.Sheray thomas,s turnover is really the only time I felt like getting physically ill today.I feel like I ran a marathon today.UK doesnt bring much fun to the table anymore.

I agree that we need a new coach, I have said that all along, and it has nothing to do with our loss today! Tubby can't recruit very well and I hate his half court offense. That is why we lost today! Plain and simple.
However, one of the few positives is that I did like the enthusiasm that Tubby showed today and I did feel like the Wildcats put more effort into the game than they usually do. (Translation, everyone seemed into the game as opposed to their usual lazy attitudes). But we lost anyway so it really doesn't matter. Mediocrity, even when it excels, can't win in the long run!
All Tubby has done IMO is bring Georgia basketball to Kentucky. If anyone disagrees or likes Tubby, then why don't you all take Tubby and move back to Georgia with him to set up your basketball dynasty!:lmao:

UK has lost 3 ot of the last 4, right now 3rd place in the east...maybe worse is we lose to UGA and when we get stomped by florida.

Kentucky played so well early in the game. Big game from Perry today, and Meeks came up big again. Woo came in and played like never before.
Tubby did coach with the fire and passion that I hadn't seen in a long time and the high fives to Bradley at the timeout showed he has a great relationship with his players.
Byars is amazing. That's all we can say. We were in his face all game and he continued to hit big shots and come up in big situations.
I don't know why Thomas was in at that point of the game over Perry who had been amazing. I like and support Thomas but I don't want him in at that point of the game.
I'm still reserving my final judgment on Coach Smith until the season ends, though I think he may be gone after the season unless something big happens in the tournaments. No way I will say "Tubby has to go" Things aren't great, but I don't think this is the end of the world when other powerhouses struggle like this every now and then for a couple of seasons, much like UCONN. I think expectations are extremely ridiculous for what Rupp set, but I even expect more than this.
Kentucky is 19-9. A win vs. Georgia at Rupp makes us 20-9, and the loss at Florida makes us 20-10. We could win some games at the SEC tourny and finish around 22-11 or 23-11. Then being placed as a 7 seed in my opinion.
Seth Davis just said Kentucky is a NCAATourny team so I honestly think that talk is ridiculous that we won't make it.

On another note, this is why that I love UK football so much more than basketball (don't get me wrong I am still a HUGE bball fan). With the high expectation of the basketball team, it is easy for us as fans to get letdown, but with the low expectations that have surrounded the football team for a while (I think that might be starting to change) it is harder to get POed when the team loses but there are such GREAT highs to have when they play well and pull out a big win!! :letsparty

May I urge you guys to at least attempt to show some restraint before posting ridiculous and fatuous statements that I have seen so far.
I'm mad, and this loss made me sick today, but some of these posts are ridiculous. At least show some maturity in your alls' statements. It's easy to understand why people who still support Tubby find it easy not to switch over when it makes them appear as if their IQ dropped 50 points.
By saying "Tubby sux, Kentucky sux" and calling players "morons" and then again another poster saying the team simply "sucks" makes it easy to see why Tubby bashers are viewed in such a stereotypical light.
At least GKS attempts to back his opinion up with facts, articles, and by posting something that attempts to make some sense unlike the absurd posts made by most Tubby bashers.
