Good effort by both teams. Pburg misses 7 FTs in last 2 minutes. Game was close. Either team could have won; BL did what they had to do to pull it out. Congrats to the Bobcats. Officiating was terrible as usual-both ways. I believe these teams will meet yet again in the district.

Congrats Bobcats! Blackcats you let another one go. But I listened to part of the game on the radio, and both announcers said that the afficiating was horrible. Gonna have to get'em next Cats.

Yeah officiating was horrible as usual everyone hates P-burg. Collins goes over the back more than any player i have seen so far this year and i dont think it got called once. Very horrible but looks like they will be a rematch at district and maybe P-burg will show them they really are the better team.

Still feel BL could be better. No coaching!

Could the time off due to snow have hurt both teams as far as being in sinc with team mates?
02-10-2007, 12:09 PM
I think most teams are still practicing each day.

Congrats to BL!! I was a little surprised by this one as P-burg had been playing pretty good lately.

True, but it's not the same as game min.s. I saw the first quarter and guard play seemed a little flat. Kind of like when you sleep to long and you feel like your in a dream all day. No I didnt see the rest of the game so it may have improved as the game progressed. Just an observation.

Nice win for BL!!

You do realize that over the back is not a rule in basketball. If you can find in any rule book I will happily say that I am wrong. I just wish people knew what they were talking about before they say or write something. It's kinda like the guy who wrote afficiating a couple of posts up. If you're going to criticize, atleast learn how to spell officiating!

I think both teams overall played good but BL just wanted it a little more and was a little more agressive inside. Officials in the 15th are the worst in the state, however that is no excuse, they are bad for every one so that kinda evens things out. The difference in the game was free throws- BL 11-16, PBurg 3-12. I personally think Case played his best game of the year with 18 hitting shots he normally doesn't. Pburg had pretty balance scoring Hall-11, Martin-10, Hughes-8, Srephens/Patton- 7 and 8 boards each, Vance-5, Clark-2. Good luck Blackcats and go get those Raiders. With only 1 loss in the 58th, BL still has a shot at Conference champs.

Congrats to BL.

This is a surprising score to me. I'm like Thunderchild, maybe the layoff from the weather had something to do with this game. I wasn't there though.
It will be tough for BL to defeat PB 3 times this season if they meet again in the district, and it's looking that way.

Look this district is horrible this year, spoke to a cameraman that was trying to get highlights, he kinda of shook his head and said not many there, was waiting for people to score! So don't get to excited, any team can win this district, but they all will be 1-out in the region. As far as officials go, it has long been known that they are not very good in the 15th, even when watching games in the WYMT, its hard for the announcers to keep up with what they call. Alright this is a brave endeavor- district tourney officials- W.Wallen and Sam- P-burg wins, Blankenship and new guy- sorry don't know name- SF wins, T.Duff and Webb is BL, AC is the only team with a shot regardless of the refs, should be fun though!

Not making an excuse just making a statement.

If there is no such thing as going over the back then why do people always talk about it?

congrats to the Bobcats!

The Over the Back Call is only a "foul" when there is contact made...... or at least thats how its suppost to be ruled.
I mean you can't penalize one player for being taller than another. If you get out rebounded by a larger, taller player, than its not a fould but if he/she bumps you while rebounding overtop then it is a foul.
just my $0.02

When jordan spends more time off the court then on it for the Blackcats they do not have a chance to win, Hall is the only scoring offense they have. Pburg will go as fasr as Jordan carries them

I know your new on here but you can't be jumping down peoples throats just because they spelled a word wrong, and as far back as i can remember you can't go over the back without a fouled ever being called. So watch what you get into on here rookie.
