Strongest Region With Mountain Teams
#1
What is your pick?

14th Region top to bottom due to Riverside, Jackson City, and JBS.
#2
JBS would make any region number 1.
#3
The 13th Region and the 16th Region would destroy the 14th Region.

In your dreams airball. The 13th or the 16th don't have the likes of a Clark Stepp. Total domination. Nobody can stop him, (he said so himself on WKCB one night after a game) and according to his Uncle (Coach Stepp) he's the best point guard in the state.

I'm taking the 13th ....bout 6-7 teams could beat top teams in other regions.

Top 5 teams in each mountain region IMO:

13th: South Laurel, Corbin, Bell County, Clay County, Cumberland.

14th: June Buchanan, Hazard, Breathitt County, Perry Central, Lee County.

15th: Shelby Valley, Paintsville, Allen Central, Belfry, Phelps.

16th: Russell, Ellitt County, Rose Hill, Ashland Blazer, Rowan County.

I would rank them as follows:

1. 13th
2. 14th
3. 16th
4. 15th

Russell has one of the best players in the state in Jon Vanhoose so you might want to get out and watch more than just you're region.Just put up 42 points on a pretty good rowan county team and has over 1700 points.

I agree. Shelby Valley proved that today when they lost by 3 to a strong Warren Central team.

You cant judge a region by one year. All the teams have their down years. Look at the past 2 or 3 years.
