Pikeville 74 Phelps 58
#1
final good game by the panthers!!!!

I couldn't believe people were picking Phelps to win this game. They haven't beaten a team in Kentucky with a winning record, and who knows anything about the teams they've played from West Virginia and Virginia.
#3
Congrats Pikeville

What do ya mean you couldn't believe they were picking Phelps.... It was a ballgame and on any given night the "underdog" so to speak is apt to win! It happens in the NBA, NFL, College, and HIGH SCHOOL!!! I'm sure both teams played hard and deserve credit on a game well played!!!

Pikeville probably is a little ahead of the hornets at this time, but phelps is a top 5-6 team in the 15th. THey have 2 nice players and all play hard, so this was a quality in region win for the panthers!

Congrats Pikeville,
Phelps just wasnt prepared for this game at all..
Keep it up Panthers!
#7
Anybody know any stats for Pikeville?
#8
Nice victory for the Panthers. Congrats!

Congrats.

I must say, I came to the game ready to watch Phelps and I was NOT the slightest bit impressed. From what I seen tonight, they are NOT a top 5-6 team in the Region. But, that is just my Opinion.

Totally agree, Pikeville really showed them they have alot of work to do before competing for a regional championship
for some reason the desire just doesnt seem to be there with a few of the phelps players. And their team chemistry doesnt seem to be intact, but g/l to the hornets on the rest of the season.

Congrats to the Panthers on a good solid game! The Panthers are looking pretty good, but are still IMO around 4th in the Region. Phelps was a disappointment to me tonight. After seeing them play, I wouldn't put them in the top 5. But in their defense, I will say that I have only seen them play once and teams do have bad nights. So I'll stick to my opinion for now and see how they do in the games ahead.

Picked this one!! Congrats Panthers!

People weren't just picking Phelps, but picking them in a blowout. When they haven't had one impressive win on the season.

you are 100% right

Congrats Panthers!

Yes,the Hornets need some chemistry between them!
I saw the Belfry game, Jordan B. done good under the goal.
The workman kid can shoot too.

I don't think the other teams were thinking they would shoot.
A lot of the teams are focused only on 2 players at Phelps.
When Workman, Blankenship and Dotson can score as well.
Some ball passing may help Phelps fool the opponent.

I would like to see some fast ball passing,
some hype, some energy, some team spirit!

But hats off to Phelps - You have done great!
Good Luck with the remaining games!

i have watched phelps play several games and they are better than they played last night no heart, no fire, thay need a leader on the floor or the season is over.

Glad to see some other people agree on the chemistry and leadership thing. They do lack team spirit and definitely need more team playing. If they would play every night like they played agaist Betsy Layne, I'd put them up against anyone and come out a winner.
