They lose Ashley J, Brittany and Michaela; that is almost all their offense. It will be hard for them to be a contender next year. They will be lucky to get 10 wins next year, and im being generous with the 10. As far as the game last night, if East Ridge truly felt they had no chance, then why play the game. Why even have a team if they are just going to play like they know they are going to lose. Gotta have more confidence and heart than that. Apparently they wouldnt have cared if magoffin had played their JV against them.

so your saying if a team has no chance they shouldnt have a team? Thats just not right piarist and the david school go into every game like that but they still play hard even if they know there gonna get pounded

Before i forget, magoffin isnt the only team to do this, the sv boys have done it at least 2-3 times this season to David, and i think Piarist and maybe a couple other teams. So i hope they get whats comin to them as well. Like i said before, this shows no class at all.

I dont believe in beating teams like that. It shows no class at all. Dominant teams should show a little more respect for teams and not try to make them look bad. But its ok, because it will come back to magoffin next season, they lose their best players after this year and im sure they will get beat like this a few times theirself next year. I just hope im there to see it.

I agree they probably wont be a contender but they will win 10 games have you seen there schedule i dont think so cause its not out ,so dont get on here saying ignorant things you have know idea what your talking about .For all you know we might be scheduled to play the Salyersville Rest Home 10 times.Was you even at the game ? Magoffin quit pressing the first half, and played the bench for the majority of the game, I was there. The fact and the matter is East Ridge quit after the first quater, even after Magoffin quit pressing thay still through the ball away.

IMO i dont think ER gave up, them girls just couldnt handle ASHLEY and BRITTNEY!

Magoffin will still be one of the top teams in the region next year, they return alot of young talent, 2 starters and there 6th man, remember everyone else loses alot of talent next year also.

As for next season, I think it is quite obvious that Magoffin's talent will be no where near its level this year. However, I do believe they can win several games and may do some damage in the region. Let's remember that we are talking about the 15th region here. As for the East Ridge game, I say congrats on scoring 100 points. I mean honestly, the debate over whether or not a team should run up the score is way overrated. Who really cares? Just let them play the game and don't worry how many a team loses by. I just think its obsurd that people complain about a team beating up on another team. This is competitive sports we are talking about here, not pre-school. If you can't handle the agony of defeat, maybe its time you find another passtime.

Magoffin played their bench early and often in this game. If the bench is playing, what else you suppose to do. Not shoot the ball, just throw it to the opposing team or kick it out of bounds?
BTW, a lot of people probably don't remember a few years back when teams were beating the Lady Hornets by 50 + points and still pressing.

If you're not playing your starters and not pressing, then there's nothing else you can do. People need to get over it. If your team is that bad, then they're that bad, they just need to practice a lot harder and not whine about it. No team is going to completely stop playing defense and not shoot the ball. Besides, this was good experience for MCs younger girls who do not get to play in varsity games very often because of the tough schedule they play.

You could have been there to see for yourself, however you decided to stay home, then get on here and post like you know what you are talking about.
You may say that the score was ran up but it wasn't! had Coach wanted to he could have scored 120 points.
He let every player on that was dressed play in the game and all of them scored. He could have held the ball for two (2) quarters and not taken shots and still have won the game.

I just wanted to add something else to this. Out of the 160 minutes possible during a regulation High School game, 88.0 of them was played by Magoffin's starters, 72.0 of them by non-starters, which are all Freshman and Sophmore.
So this means that the starters played 55% of the game and the non starters played 45% of the game. See it believe it I don't care either way UKGIRL20.

I have been to the games and i have seen how they play. I see most of the girls on the team smiling and having a great time playin the game, others who will go unnamed usually have a look like they could give a damn whether they are playin or not, then again the look could be that of one that thinks they are the best on the team and that teammates dont matter. Doesnt matter what i say though becuase one of u on here will surely defend them as u have that right, just as i have the right to make the observations that i make. As for the pounding they gave East Ridge, I could care less, it just shows no class by one team and no heart or desire to even play by the other. No matter how many minutes played or points scored by the starters or whoever the hell played. Magoffin sports have been a joke for years, when they were losin and even when they were winnin, which is very rare but will continue after this year. The reason i say this is because most of the coaches besides the football coach are hired from within the system or hired based on past playing experience or lack thereof. Also based on knowledge of the sport they coach. Im sure magoffin isnt the only school that does this though right. The only person that i can see that will deserve a shot at taking over one day as a head coach resides in paintsville. You may know him as J.R. Vanhoose. He knows the game and im sure would be a great selection to replace Runyon when he decides to retire. I know this post will be bashed, and for countless reasons, especially the going off topic for a bit, but i dont care.
