Paintsville improves to 9-4 and 4-0 in the 57th. Landon Slone led Paintsville with 28 points, J.D. VanHoose had 16. Chandler Thompson had 15 to lead Lawrence Co. who fell to 7-6 (3-2). PHS plays Spring Valley (WV) Saturday in the KY/WV Shootout in Williamson, WV. LC plays at Rose Hill next.

Didn't get to make the trip, but sounded ugly early! I think the Tigers led by 30 at one point. Led 42-17 at the half.

Ferguson is coming along good. He's playing pretty good right now. Lawrence Co. has completely fallen apart. They don't even look like the same team out there. Paintsville played pretty good today. Congrats on the win Tigers!

He has the right to shoot the ball. I have watched the kid shoot alot and he is a pure shooter. He is the only shooter that Lc really has. I didn't get to watch this game tonight but I will just tell you this, If Thompson doesn't score Lc doesn't win! Just like last year if Shane Thompson didn't score then Lc didn't win.

This game got bad after the 1st. The tiger's played great team ball tonight. Good to see the JV get about 3 mins of time as well.

Yea LC has fallen off that is the worst half of basketball I have sen here in about 10 years. They could throw the ball in the sea. They didnt look to feed the post at all. I know that this is what Coach A. wants and will make some changes. Paintsville made about everything they threw up.

Lawrence Co JV played alot harder then the varsity did tonight. It was nice to see both coaches play the JV for the last 4 mins of the game. Congrats Tigers.

PHS shot 44% from the field and only took 4 shots while the JV played. But it sounded as if they did what they wanted.

Tonight the tigers made alot of points in the paint. See what they can do to u down low even if they are all around 6'2 and 6'3. Grimmy is a very good down lown player when he drives very hard to stop!

The Tigers need to balance the inside game with the 3 and outside game. This with some improvement on D will make them a tough out in the Region. SV's loss really means nothing. They are good. Rankings mean nothing either. You have to execute to win. I personally think that Paintsville and SV are the two best teams in the 15th and I think that Paintsville can beat them. BUT if the Tigers don't play (last year is a good lesson when SV knocked them out), then they are out. It is a great sign to see the Tigers mixing it up better and they do have better team work this year. But I would like to see a little more consistency out of them.

Congrats to the Tigers. I am proud of them. I believe they will continue to get better defensively, and will start to put together three and four quarters of intense basketball.

I didn,t say he didnt have the right to shoot.I thought maybe he wasnt shooting enough.Boy did you read my post totally wrong,,chill and be friendly.

Batbuff for you to say they played that bad is scary.They must have been totally flat.I thought maybe the Thompson kid didnt get his shots.His he getting enough shots Batbuff.I can ask you that,,unlike othes.

Oh yea he get his own, needs to take more sometimes. They just dont feed the post enough. Cut down on mb shots and turnovers and learn to rebound and they will be ok.

Tigers moved the ball pretty good. Did notice that they passed up a few easy shots in the lane for the kick out for the three attempt. Van had his man beat so bad one time, in the first half, he had the whole lane to himself and he probably could have dunked it. But, he kicked it back out for the three. needless to say as soon as the ball was whistled dead, he was yanked and told about it. LOL!
