This could be an advantage for Powell come post season time by forcing the rest of the team to not depend on his big imput. Maybe some role players will step up and become leaders in his stead. What do the rest of you think?

Personally, i think at first it will affect the team heavily, for the first couple of games. I know because when they get in trouble they throw it down to the beast in the middle and let him go to work. Without that they will have to find other ways to score. I'm sure the rest of these seniors for Powell will step up and take the slack, but it won't be an immediate solution, may take a week or two. he's out for a Month.

I agree they will have to step up there game to cover romans postion but when ever he comes back they will domante because they will have more that one way to score than romans and you wont be able to stop them ..... Do u know what happened and how???

First of all I hate to hear anyone get injured and I wish him a speedy recovery. However, Roman's injury might just be a blessing in disguise. Nothing against him personally, but I have heard talk around town that sometimes his attitude isn't the best in the world. I sure hope to see Powell in the state tourney this year. I also hope they play the 15th, it would be a more LEVEL playing field.

After watching Powell County tonight, even if they did play a team from the 15th, it wouldnt be a level playing field. I was really let down with they way they looked. It isnt because Romans didnt play either. Powell couldnt even get the ball inbounds, up the floor, or anything.

YUCK! What in the world is wrong with Powell then? By the way that their fans were talking at the beginning of the year, they were state contenders.

I think they lost by 39 points. The only time the game was close was right before the opening tip off. Once the ball went up in the air, Shelby Valley owned them.

They wont be living up to all the hype even at the end of the year from what I seen. They wasnt making early in the year mistakes. They was making freshman mistakes. Powell just didnt have the athletes on the floor that was said about them. Shelby Valleys second string had much more basketball presence than Powells first string.

HELLO People, first time on the floor this year, and without their top scorer/rebounder, of course they aren't going to look very good. They aren't used to not having Romans as their all time back up. They always look to him if they are in a tough spot and this game with their new system on the floor, they were on their own. IMO, if they can overcome playing a decent game without Romans when he comes back, they are going to be even more tough than we first predicted, but thats just me....

this injury will affect powell for about 4 games. when the bobcats come into the gym in stanton it wont matter who is playing, first game of district everyone will step up and wont worry about a injury and when they win there will be moreconfidence and when the big man returns, around the letcher central tournament, it will be the seasons major turning point. when powell gets their first win without romans, confidence will be soaring and beatings will be handed out like hotcakes.

I think that Powell can win a couple games without Romans but it sure will be nice to see him back out on the floor again
