Pikeville vs. Jenkins
#31
I've read all about the mighty Cavaliers all week and ever since the last Pikeville/Jenkins game.
Now it's time for all the nonsense talk to stop.
Jenkins can't play with Pikeville.
No direspect intended Cavaliers but you've had a nice season and made the playoffs, Congratulations!
Now, Jenkins stayed close to Pikeville because of phantom penalties, obviously biased 14th region officials, a determined Cavalier squad and a Pikeville team that overlooked Jenkins.
These things won't happen in game two....neutral officials in the playoffs...a more focused Pikeville team... and more on the line.
This game will be ugly early.
Old Timers pick: Pikeville 41
Jenkins 6

Good post. Everyone seems to have forgotten that Jenkins had a total of ONE rushing yard in the first game. Pikeville had like 300. Jenkins absolutely CANNOT run the ball against the Pikeville D, and if they start throwing a lot, this one will get ugly in a hurry. I really think Pikeville will be playing for the shutout here. If Jenkins scores, it will be late. And Pikeville will score 40, at least. I look for a score like Old Timers, OR WORSE.

I think whoever wins will win end up playing Somerset.
#36
Same song, second verse. Little bit louder & little bit worse.

Good luck to both teams.

But I would like to see Jenkins win.

By two TD's, on what basis? Jenkins lost by 7 in the last game they played, but how many total yards did they have? Around 60. That may just be passing yards, but they didn't get many on the ground either. Jenkins got most of those yards on one big pass play, which led to a touchdown, and the other touchdown came from a mislapse in the Panther special teams unit. That mistake wont happen again. The Panthers failed to execute several times against Jenkins and dominated most of the game except where they fell apart for a little while in the 4th. If the Panther come ready to play, and I assume they will, they should be able to win this game by quite a bit. But, I'm hoping for a good game because I'd hate to have wasted five dollars to get into a game that was a blowout.

You wanna see a good game for $5 go watch Paintsville/Hazard or Pburg/SC.
#41
I would, but i consider it a sin to miss a Pikeville football playoff game lol
#42
Tomorrow!!!! I cant wait
#43
me ethier! imma hurry and go 2 sleep so tommorow will get here quicker
#44
this one will be a good one Jenkins has the confidence and the town and the whole region behind them. Jenkins are pumped for this. Jenkins will fight til the last sec. and i think pikeville already thinks that they have this one in the bag
#45
Hm jenkins has the confidence... and the town, but im pretty sure the region will be at their teams games tommorow lol Ill bet Pikeville has a larger crowd... fans always come out strong in playoffs
well, if the team thinks they have it in the bag, ud think they'd lay down again, but they wont lay down this time, they're going to play as hard as they can and put up as many points as possible in the first and probly second half
#46
The game won't be won by confidence, crowd or region it will be won by the better team. Who cares who has the bigger crowd. I think both teams will be ready to play but in the end Pikeville has more talent and that will prevail. 38-12
#47
u do know, the bigger the crowd, the more support, the more support the better the guys play, and the bigger the harder for the other teams guys to hear the play and adjustments...the crowd does make a difference, but its mostly the guys playin

I suppose you didn't catch the moderator bulletin that said for people to start using proper grammar and capitalization rather than icq style.
#49

#50

If you don not go to Pikeville then how would you even be able to fathom the statement you made about "Pikeville already thinks that they have this one in the bag." If you aren't there then dont't act like you are.

The correct response would be 1 net yard for Jenkins in the first meeting.

Right..AND A 7 POINT LOSS..you know, the MAIN STAT! When Jenkins was SUPPOSE TO GET BEAT BY 50 or more!
#56
It doesn't matter what the score was. You got beat. A close loss is worse than a blowout loss. Have you people up Jenkins not figured that out yet. You Cavs crack me up. I guess that 7 point loss is going to take you to state, right? That's quite comical.

This was the 2nd Jenkins v Pikeville thread. The first one was closed because folks couldn't stay on topic.
This thread was warned early to stay on THIS WEEK's GAME...I have tried to allow it to stay open but some members do not have an original idea and continue to post about the game weeks ago.
Therefore, LAST CHANCE, stay on the game TONIGHT or this thread will be closed...and WE WILL NOT open another Jenkins v Pikeville thread until the game has been played.

Ive saw an awful focused Pikeville team all week when Ive been able to go to practice. Pikeville has something to prove and IMO will prove it tonight.
