Depends on the additions in the coming years from transfers
Losing the ball kids hurt a ton for the younger class
But they still have good bunch coming from Mullins

Idk about PC
But if he can get the players he was able to get at Hazard to come then yes. Lot of talented kids on those hazard teams.

No. Not even sure they can make the region tournament.

Don’t count out Big Al. He’s a legend!

I don’t think so this year but give the hall of famer a couple of years and they will be right back in the mix.

As far as this year goes and his style of play- I know they will be disciplined and he may slow it way down to compete. Could see some scores in the 30s and 40s.

I mean no disrespect because he has donated a ton of time to a often unthankful profession ......but Al is not that great of a coach. He has been blessed to have some good players and he schedules a diet water weak schedule. Unless he recruits some kids(which he is very good at especially if he has people to back what he offers) he will not work miracles there.

Tell me you dont know basketball without telling me you dont know basketball. LOL Tell that to his 750+ wins!! Sure he has lost a few big ones over the years but the man has 750 wins and 11 region championships Not to mention the districts, All A's, Mountain classics that he has lost count of. His last great coaching job for me was in 2020 when he won the region and All A final 4 with basically wade pelfrey and a bunch of role players.. Hall, fletcher, and the Johnson kid were average players and he coached them to an incredible season. DISREGARD shottaker23 posts until further notice for this abysmal take.

Hopefully he will get a chance to be at Pike Central for a while. If they let him be, he can get them competing for region titles. Having said that, I remember years ago when they brought in Johnny Martin and let him go after only one season.

Just calling em like a see em. Anyone who has watched him the last 5 years can easily see he refuses to come out of the 14th or 15th consistently and play anyone. Watched him come during the summer 2 out of the past 4 years to the Collins events and play outside teams and go 2-4 with 3 forfeits not included. Not saying he is a bum just that he has been fortunate to have some good players transfer in(thank you Marty and Mr Short) but he is not basketball Jesus like some think
