Combs will replace Woods, Hacker will replace Bakun and Miller will replace Neace. Hoskins will have Perry rolling.
If Combs stays at Hazard they would have walked out blind folded. That’s the move no one understands.
Gonna be an awesome year with a bunch of tight games and upsets. Powell has that core that has grew up together which is the recipe for Rupp but the two big bullies are coming out of the 54th too spoil their run!

Woods wanted the ball in big game situations and I’ll leave it at that. Combs and hacker together on the floor is there truly enough ball to go around? Time will tell. Combs didn’t want to play behind Caudill is what it looks like to me. Powell will be ok. Letcher has potential to knock someone off. Wolfe won’t be bad. It will definitely be interesting to see it all play out.

Hoskins will have to get them on the same page but they have the talent and the deepest bench. Combs is a great player and Hazard will miss him greatly. They can’t replace a kid like that.
I agree that Powell, Letcher and Wolfe will be tough by February.

With all these changes that happened this year, it's going to be an exciting fun season to watch and gonna be a fight to see who comes out on top. Competition is gonna be very close so it should make for some really exciting games to watch.

They lost woods their best scorer, Neace their best defender, and Bakun who happened to be their only size. I thought Hazard was clearly in the "driver's seat" last year and 10-15 points better than anyone in the 14th. Not sure how you think it's going to be easy after losing six of the top nine from last year. One great player, but he's the only one back who averaged in doubled figures. Not a lot of depth either. Hazard could definitely win, but it looks really close at this point - unlike last year.
freak athlete like Osborne and the Gibson kid along with some really good freshman who will be going into their sophomore season and have looked really good at times this summer is going to put them over the top. We’ll see how it all shakes down but holland held them back and everyone knows it. I think huff turns them loose and you see a totally different animal.
I don't want that to come across as I have anything against Hazard. Casey Huff is a Harlan County boy, and I think a lot of him and his family. I just think it's.almost unfair to him to put Hazard as the favorite with not a lot of experience coming back.

Be interesting to see how everyone is after football season. A lot can change with injuries and so forth. None of the teams are deep that’s a big key for winning it all 7/8/9/10 have to be able to play and help produce

That lineups a clear #1 in the Region? Seriously? If they are, it isn’t by much. About any team can beat them. They will miss Neace, Woods, and Bacun. I could see Knott, Wolfe, and Breathitt giving them all they want even though everyone has thrown them under the bus.

Hazard has the consensus best player in the region (Caudill). The most athletic player in the region (Osborne). And in my opinion one of if not the best post player in the region (Tucker Johnson). Kincaid is a top 5 shooter and defender. I am hearing good things about Fullwood. Do i think they are clear and ahead better than everyone else? No! But to say that Perry is the clear favorite is absolutely absurd.

Perry is the favorite no doubt they got it all and championship leadership. Letcher is getting some hype too along with Powell but the word across the region is Hazard is dangerous. D&D staff says Caudill and Kincaid are hands down the best backcourt in the region. If that’s true the Dawgs in good shape. Guard play wins championships!

I didn't mention Wolfe or Letcher... I can't see them beating those others, but I believe Knott and Powell have a shot. Gibson leaving Hazard really made them thin on the bench and a lot slower with their lineup and made Knott deeper and bigger.

Using kids has backfired pretty bad for the Bulldogs. Kids high school careers are a sacred part of their life that they will cherish forever, not to be used like pawns by grown ups. Gibson bros gone back to KCC, good for them that’s where they been their whole life. Combs and his crew saw what was happening by the adults at HHS and they split, good for them. Now Osborne is supposedly got some issues off the court. Anybody who had a hand in what went on at HHS shouldn’t be allowed near a decision for the rest of their careers. So with that said…..

I'd say your right about one thing... this probably is just "your take" The younger Gibson was never staying he came to make eligibility to look better, The older Gibson decided he was going back after trying summer ball and saw what that was like. That's not an assumption... and Combs, he should've left a year earlier truthfully, I think he just assumed the team would be really good like they should've been. Anyone who watched or even talked to other coaches around the region, the only thing that evened the playing field was Caudill and Eversole competing for shots... and that is 1000% why they lost... it's no secret.. it's not just my take... it's most people's take. Combs is way too good to be made a spot up shooter and just spot up on a wing, He had to go.. But if he stays and the older Gibson stays, there's not even a question who's the best team. Unfortunately for Hazard, now it's gonna be a lot more exciting to watch the 14th.

The fact that a school would even let parents pick a coach says a lot about the program's problems in general..... If that's the case? That's just incompetence from the administration! It seems like most of the games I watched, they had combs on the other teams best player?? And It seems like when Hazard actually looked good early in the season was when Combs was included more? Maybe that’s yours and his take on it but anyone who watched knows the kid got special treatment when he was getting torched on the defensive end. Good luck to you all at Perry though. Hopefully you can get that anchor down to rupp arena.
Bluecat, everyone knew that kid was leaving. It just made too much sense.
Jealousy crept in just like everyone said it would, and they couldn't even get out of the worst region in the state.

Knott
Combs hacker is a good combo
Caudill Kincaid also a good combo
Delany Hayes also a good combo
Amburgey Gibson also a good combo
Can talk all you want about who is best
Bottom line it comes to the supporting roles
And the bench
To see who goes to Rupp
Everyone’s top 2 are good players

With the Gibson boys returning to knott I would put them right in the mix as likely 3rd best team in the region.
