364 wins over 25 years.
That’s 14.5 per season. That just doesn’t impress me.
19-59 over the last 3 years.
Be interesting to see who starts, how deep the bench goes, how certain players are used, etc.
After applying for every available job close to a highway, he snabs one.
Within 2 years, maybe 1, FC will be hiring again.
Next season is 20+ wins, district championship and region semifinals atleast. You return entire roster. No excuses, has to get the job done.

I heard that after 2 board members offered the job to 3 coaches which all 3 turned it down. Then the principal offers it to the scott county guy and he turns it down. Then instead of interviewing Ratliff from Pike Central they secretly hire Perry. Heard it first hand that the only ones that knew was WMDJ. So what does this tell you. Come on Truth tell me is this correct. That is the talk

Floyd county just doesn’t care about sports. Has to be the only reasoning behind this. I hate to tell people but academics don’t make the school popular around here. And let’s be honest, unless cheating is involved, our test scores are pretty dismal. Good news is we’ve got the lead cheater in charge at the Board so I’d imagine numbers will miraculously skyrocket.

It's time to shake things up and bring in coaches who can build a winning culture, not just ride the wave of talented players. Coaches who can adapt, innovate, and develop their team year after year – that's what we need. Let's put an end to the cycle of mediocrity and bring in leaders who can inspire greatness.

After passing on Mason Hall and Robbie Johnson how many returning players leave?

Congrats to Perry on finally landing a new gig after applying for 10,000 different jobs. FC can change administration as much as they want, some things never change.

Not a good hire. Historically he a 70/30 coach. 70% of people hate him 30% really love him. Not usually much in between. Find it hard to believe he personality plays well at Floyd Central. However, maybe administration wanted someone who will cut out the parent voices, if so they got their man.

Id be kinda surprised if anyone left, maybe , possibly one or two but we'll have to wait and see I guess. Depends, if he rubs the parents the wrong way I can see one or two taking their ball and going home.

Its puzzling that they were not interested in Johnson, Hall or Ratliff. Throw in the fact that they hired a coach for the girls today without evening posting for applicants is icing on the cake for FC. Logic and rules need not apply.

Only chance kids in Floyd have a chance.

From what I hear the 2 board members and WMDJ are telling the principal what to do. Bit this is what happens when you are a puppet. So I guess nothing will change until board members are voted out.

The problem is Floyd County Schools are so screwed up that no one with half a brain wants to run for a board seat. We have some incredible leaders in and around Floyd County but none of them would dare try to tackle this tangled mess.
Speaking of and completely off-topic: anyone see where the elementary schools across Floyd County are now required to go an additional 7 minutes each school day to make up for the day they released early due to weather? Did anyone notice the single elementary school that’s NOT required to do this? BL Elementary. What school got caught cheating during testing covered up by our current Superintendent? BL Elementary. I’d love to know what makes them exempt from this extra time.

I predict a meltdown of epic proportions this summer/season.
I see 2-3 players quitting. Samons, a couple Johnson's, etc.
Well I could say that a few role players are not playing, 2 main ones who seen some time Meade Curry and then Anderson and Cotton. Just from what I’ve heard from parents and players.

Definitely coaches a slower pace. 9-15 last year with 7 seniors. Four games in the 40's and nine games in the 50's

Yeah I don’t know if it’ll work that way at FC. I’m not for sure on the stat but it’s always a high scoring game when they won, they play little no any defense and had to outscore them to win. They play better at a fast paced offense. We will see out it turns out this summer.

I am not sure this is a completely accurate statement. Here is a post from BLE's Facebook page informing everyone that 5 minutes was added to each day.

Different schools have missed for different reasons. Waterline breaks, deaths of faculty etc
So they’re on different timelines.

Its just the way the hours and minutes worked out. Some schools have turned out early multiple times this year, some have not. Some more than others... It comes down to the hours and minutes since we missed all that time due to inclement weather, then power and water outages etc.. Teachers are working over 3 hours two days a week right now to make up PD time too... Its simply the way the time has worked out this year..

I’d love to know why fc replaced the girls varsity coach for Moore assistant coach who was released along with him.
