Male teachers being inappropriate with female students--- We've heard about this stuff for years and years. Just last year around this time, a Whtley County coach and teacher  was arrested for inappropriate touching of two female students and sharing nude pictures. Back in the day, there was a very well known Corbin coach and teacher that was rumored to engage in dirty old man behavior with some of his players. He's dead now. Even back in my day, you heard talk about teachers getting it on with students. Were the rumors true? Probably some were.

Fast forward to today. I am seeing more and more stories of female teachers having sexual relations with HS boys, and even middle school students. Probably one of the more infamous cases was Mary Joe Latourneau, who had relations with her sixth greade student, Vili Fualaau, with whom she had two children. Just today I came across a story about two female twenty-something HS teachers who were arrested for meeting for three-way sexual encounters with a 17-year old football player. Is it just me or are we hearing more and more stories of female teachers having liasons with male students? Maybe this has always gone on, as well, but all I can ever remember receiving from a female teacher was a paddling with a big ol' thick piece of wood, and it was far from pleasurable. Ms. Ridner was  about 65 y.o. and a  mean old bag. 

Also, have you noticed the double standard that seems to exist when the perp is a female teacher taking advantage of a young male versus a male teacher or coach preying on a young female student? Aren't they both equally reprehensible?  What do you all think of this?  How would you react if your child revealed that she/he had been touched, sexted, or worse, by one of their teachers. Guys, would you react differently if it was your Tommy boy who was touched by a female teacher?

Look at the title of this story. Can you imagine the difference in tone if the perp had been a male teacher who impregnated a 8th grade female student?

Where in the hell were teachers like this when I was at Corbin High School in the '70's ?   The only teachers I had the misfortune of having was 65 year old blue-haired  grannies that hit me on the knuckles with rulers and busted my tail with a paddle.  


Where were English teachers like these two when I needed some private tutoring?

Frankly, male or female, teachers having relationships with their students is quite disgusting. I don't see the attraction in someone who is young enough to be your child. It is not worth risking your job.

I'm also a male teacher. Agree that's it's definitely not worth the risk, plus if a child is underaged, it's just wrong. Yet, humans continue to be stupid and take stupid risks. The double standard is obvious, though. When you read a story about a hot female teacher and a young male student, the teacher tends to be looked upon less as a predator than if it was a male teacher, and the male student is seen as a legend and hero among his peers and the luckiest son of a gun of all time.

It definitely happens. A female PE teacher back when I was in school was rumored to have had numerous sexual encounters with young girl students. Well. I'll just tell you, it was more than just rumor.

One of the more infamous cases was that of Brittany Zamora. Would the cops have been so sweet and empathetic with a male teacher who groomed and molested his 13 y.o. students? Britanny was soft spoken, 5 ft cutie pie. Big difference, I guess.

They could go out on the town and get any adult male they want, but they choose someone who is still a kid. Is it about power? Were they abused as a child? Or are they just plain sick in the head?
