Legendary Coach, Tom Greer named New Defensive Coordinator at Southwestern
#31
TG is a legend for living rent free in the mind of OSH for several years now…..LOL

I'm with OSH on this one. No coach that has never won a championship as a HC can ever be called legendary in any universe.

I rarely ever think of the guy unless someone mentions him on here. I forgot him the night I beat his ass at the Piggly Wiggly for trying to ride the skin bus to Tuna Town. He thought he was sending out for sushi that night but all he got was a fistful of Old School knowledge. I clearly haven't let it affect me later in life. There wasn't a single Tommy Greer-coached Corbin team that I didn't root like hell for. Shows you what a class guy I am that I don't hold grudges.

I think I speak with worlds of knowledge about this despicable creature. He is a diagnosed sociopath.

In other words, I'm guessing he's a Republican?
This statement makes a lot of things about you make sense now
I was thinking the exact same thing, lol.

Be interesting to see How he does.. At Corbin he always had the best of everything to work with. Southwestern Wont be on that level, but also the cupboard is not bare.

How long until Greer is HC?

I don't think Greer wants to be a head coach myself. I think after he retired, he is just keeping busy. No harm in that. I think all coaches goes through that who like being on the field and they don't want to stop. Probably a healthy thing for a person to do is coach as long as you can. Should be a interesting district as all those teams have tightened up.

That means you also didn't know what I was referring to.

Not sure why the OP used the term "legendary" to describe Tom.  I think that was just an attempt to antagonize , because Tom  is nowhere near a legend(except in his own mind) . He has been an okay coach and  knows defensive football very well. Tom plays easy schedules to pad his winning %. Corbin only had about six games during Tom Turkey's tenure that they really had any real chance of losing . They lost five of those games(Beat Fred Douglass 6-0).  Accumulating an impressive winning percentage against a bunch of tomato cans is so very much Tom Turkey. Shiny, impressive toy on the outside; decrepid, rusty , nasty lemon on the inside.

Tom is not a bad coach; he's a bad person. No one on here knows Tom E. Turkey like I do. We've known eacjh other since we were nine or ten.
Together we climbed hills and trees , learned of love and ABC's, skinned our hearts and skinned our knees..And if you think I dislike Tom because of the night he tried to take his turn at Bushy Park, think again. I forgot that tramp as soon as I dropped her off on the next bloick. I don't wish bad things for Tom, and I don't wish good things, either. No one I know likes the guy, not even his wife and children..

Could it be Tom just has been trying all these years to prove his manhood... over OSH.. .but has just fell short time and time again like that night at the park? He maybe lost his since of morality in this pursuit??? Lets show some grace gentleman.

Another 70s classic - Seasons in the Sun.
Nothing bad to say about Greer from my years covering his teams, but I will keep following for the lyrics. :)

Excellent football coach, wish him success at SW

He needs to bring in Walt Love to help with the D line.

There's plenty more where those came from. Stay tuned.
