Colbert is less funny than Jimmy Kimmel, if that is even possible. That's not a commentary on his warped political beliefs because I find Jon Stewart and Bill Maher very funny at times. 

Real comedians can get an occasional laugh from a hostile audience. Colbert needs an audience composed of Kamala Harrises or a laugh track added post-production.

That's not far from the truth. "Best politician" is not necessarily a good thing, either.  The two "best politicians" in my lifetime have been Bill Clinton and Mitch McConnell, and both are scoundrels in their own way. Both were saavy political animals in their prime . The best of the best(or worst of the worst, ever how you want to view it). Both lost their mojo, somewhat, later on in life.  Mitch told friends here in Corbin on his last visit to the big house on the hill  that his biggest political regret is not finishing off Trump when he had the chance. He hates Trump with the ferocity of a thousand lions, from what I hear.

I despise what McConnell has become. That he hates Trump is further proof (if you need any) that Trump is on the right side. Trump exposed him and members of both parties just like him as swamp creatures of the corrupt Uniparty. Bottom line, McConnell will be remembered forever as a major player who held power while the Uniparty looted the Treasury (taxpayers) and bankrupted the country with almost $40 TRILLION of debt that can never be repaid and never once tried to rein in spending, all the while enriching himself. Scumbag.
