No doubt an upset but not that surprised. First of all like you said pitch counts. Add in that the game of baseball will see the “lesser” team win more often than other sports. Along with Hazard being a solid baseball program. Lots of player and coaching carry over from the Meehan era

In the first 14 days of the season I wouldn’t consider anything as an upset. Pitchers have to get going and coaches on just about every team have to figure out at least one position somewhere on the field.
