If that happens I can already hear the facebook posts saying the only reason the won is because they had home court advantage

Yes 2 practices and 1 game.

Wow kinda harsh for suspending the coach in region tournament. Did the book keeper get the hook for flipping the bird?

I’ve heard he was banned from scorekeeper.

I wonder if it was for flipping the players off or not being able to count to 5

I was actually just told he’s been banned from all Floyd county athletic events in general. Pretty stiff punishment.

Depends on the length of time.

I would also think the  Mother would be facing some banishments.

Pretty stiff, but I think it’s meant to send a message to everyone at BL that the new BOE administration isn’t gonna put up with that kind of stuff anymore. I’ve never seen an adult in an official capacity at a youth sporting event flip a kid off, actually never thought I would live long enough to see anything like that in Floyd county, so we’re kind of in unprecedented territory as to the length of the suspension, but a total ban from Floyd county youth sports and a suspension for the coach not being more under control post-game is a good move, I think. Actions have consequences.

Paintsville over Pike Central
Ppikeville over Lawrence Co.

Martin Co. over Phelps
Floyd Central over Betsy Layne

Paintvsille over Pikeville
Martin Co. over Floyd Central

All 57th-district championship for the 2nd straight year.

Martin Co. suffered 2 regional losses all season, and they happened to be 2 teams in their district, 1 has already been eliminated, and the other is still alive. Paintsville has shown they have what it takes to beat Martin Co, being on a neutral site yet again, but this time in a high school tournament environment sure will be different. I may be wrong, but then again, I may be right but that's what's so special about this time of year, anything can happen. Give me Paintsville to win it all.

But the Mother from Prestonburg who started the shouting match walks away wit no punishment?

How should she be punished? She's just a fan, not an official representative of PHS the way coaches and bookkeepers are, she didn't use any foul language or flip anybody off, so at worst she's just a heckler. Should all fans who heckle officials at sporting events be punished? You'd be handing out a whole lot of punishments if that's the case.

Actually, we had fans that were not allowed to be at the Paintsville game because they got kicked out of the BL game. They’re sending certified letters to fans that get removed. First I’d heard of that happening but it happened during the district tournament.

You just don't run your mouth during a prayer loud enough to be heard from the stands,  If this had happened in my area the school her son plays for would have banned her from their gym,  I've seen the punishment for a few games up to a year.  Think about it, if she behaves her self, there would have been no other trouble.

That’s the first time I’ve heard that we had any fans get ejected. I think being ejected definitely should be punished with a suspension.

I agree that if she behaves then probably nothing happens after that, but also if Howard doesn’t have a microphone on the floor to begin with, or is able to control his emotions better then nothing happens either. Her words would not have even been noticed or talked about by basically anybody if Howard doesn’t respond to them on a microphone. Howard is a school employee acting in his capacity as a school official in that moment, the mother is only a mother. There should be different levels of punishment for the two based on their respective levels of responsibility.
