Pikeville breaks North Laurels undefeated streak
#1
Panthers upset North Laurel 53-52.

Wow! NL was 18-0. Great win!

Game was at Pikeville right? Well I’m sure the 15th had their finest crooks on the game. North is 30 better than Pikeville anywhere else outside of the 15th.
#4
If i’m not mistaken Pikeville had around 15 fouls called on them and North Laurel had around 8 called on them, so foul count was definitely in North Laurel’s favor.

Nichelson got into foul trouble with this one. Definitely hurt North.

Pikeville is better than their record, sometimes you have an off night. Good lesson for North going forward, they should roll through the13th, but they have to understand they can’t just show up and expect to win. I do wish they could have gotten this one just because they are hosting Madison Central Tuesday night and they are also undefeated. Don’t get a regular season game between two undefeated teams in February very often.

Have told numerous people in the 13th, if you can get Nicholson into foul trouble NL is a different team. They are average at best without her.

Yes, Pikeville lost 2 D-1 players and other good players from last year and are just now getting good. They have a lot of talent.

Shooting like that is exactly what dooms a really good team against a good, but not quite as good, team, especially on the road. It’s exactly what happened to UK women at Texas A&M earlier this year. You take your medicine and move on.

And like a good team does, North put the loss behind them and beat previously unbeaten Madison Central 65-53 last night. Lady Jags should definitely make another trip to Rupp this season.
