UK Women
#1
I think we need to give more love to the ladies. Pope was a great hire but Brooks is the real slam dunk hire. Look at what he as going in his first year. As I am watching them throttle Georgia to soon be 16-1 and 5-0 in the conference it amzes me at how little we see people talk about them. 12th in the nation. All starters average double figures. Georgia Amoore is legit. Clara Strack is one of the best centers in the game. Of course we will see how they stack up once they face LSU, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Before the season they mentioned UK had two very good players that were injured in late summer that would possibly not play this season. Then they said that maybe one of them would be back by January. Is that player back playing yet and what is her name?

As far as I know both will be out this entire season. Jordan Obi and Dominika Paurova (had to search spelling lol) I haven't seen that one would return but I think Obi was the one they were really looking forward to having.

All the credit in the world to coach Brooks for turning this program around in just his first season, bringing Amoore w/ him from Virginia Tech was a huge addition, and set the tone early, and everything else fell into place around that, and the results are paying off huge. Glad to see them having this kind of success, but we all know the SEC runs through South Carolina, other tough outs such as LSU will be a real test for them as well.

Lady Cats lost to Texas A&M yesterday. Didn't get to watch this one.

I watched the first half of this and UK was up by 5 at halftime 30-25. Neither tram was playing well and I was afraid UK would lose. Dang. Still, love where Brooks has the program in his first year. Great hire IMO.

Amoore, who is a great player and so much fun to watch, just had a horrible shooting night. Seemed like all of her threes either went halfway in and came out, or rimmed out, she wasn’t missing by much. Just one of those nights. Will hurt later on when seedings come into play, but we could undo the damage with a win over LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee or Texas later on when the schedule really gets to be a monster. And I totally agree, I think Brooks was a home run hire for the women’s program, I suspect we will be relevant as long as he is there.
