Schuman accuses both Republicans and Democrats on the committee of passing rule changes that make corruption easier to get away with.
"Under the cover of the New Years' holiday, Ethics Committee Democrats and Republicans pulled a fast one, legalizing a money laundry so blatantly corrupt it would embarrass Walter White," Schuman contends. "They also made many other allegations of wrongdoing disappear."
Among other things, wrote Schuman, the committee narrowed a restrictions on using campaign donations so that only uses that violate federal law are banned.
I'm for stricter regulations on the usage of campaign donations and closer scrutiny on all Politicians. Being a Politician should not be a road map to getting wealthy.

This is an opportunity to criticize Congress for lowering the ethical standards for House members by a bipartisan committee with equal representation of Republicans and Democrats, and you choose to take an off topic shot at Donald Trump.
Congress is full of corrupt politicians representing both major parties. I expect that both parties will try to sell the rules changes as "bipartisan reforms." When I see Congress refer to any rules change or bill as "reform," I assume that the opposite is true.

A majority of Americans approve of Trump's transition, while a record number of Americans disapprove of Biden's job performance, but Congress is even less popular than Biden.
