Coach Sean Thompson of Paducah Tilghman has been named the 2024 Coach of the Year.
In his 4 years at the school he has directed his team to four deep playoff runs,
2 finals appearances, and the 2024 State Championship.
He has brought stability to a program, and was the right guy at the right time to lead these young men.
Congrats to him and the staff he has assembled around him!

YUCK! I guess character isn't a consideration in these awards, which is fine, I guess. Allowing your kids to treat an opposing team the ways the Blue F-Zeros treated the visiting Hounds when they entered the grounds of the stadium says a lot about this coach. One of the Corbin kids told me he was spat at. Some of the other Hound fans on here described the behavior in detail and said the Blue F-Zero coach was well aware of the activities.
I am awarding the 4A Coach of the Year to a man with character and class. The award goes to Coach Luke Salmons of Corbin, who took over the job with only about 10 or 11 weeks until the opening game. He did a very admirable job in a tough situation and got his Hounds to exceed almost everyone's expectations. Great job, Coach Salmons. Very humble, classy gentleman. Congratulations, coach, on a job well done!!!
