I think everyone is wrong and Raceland will wins this game on heart and determination and I still ain’t sold on Sayer and Raceland definitely has the best defense Sayer has seen this year and that wins games

This may sound dramatic, but I firmly believe it. If Raceland doesn't win it this year, I really don't know when they ever will.
They avoided Pikeville, have one of the best defenses they have had in years, multiple weapons at RB and WR. Stiltner will be back this week. They have more depth than Sayre. This game is a 50/50 at worst but I lean to 60/40 Raceland.
This is the window. Pikeville will reload, Sayre is only going to continue to get better. The time is NOW.
I feel like if they lose this game it will be due to conservative playcalling and trying to force the run when it isn't there. If Sayre stops the run, they win. It's that simple.
Raceland could have Mahomes at QB and Justin Jefferson at WR and they wouldn't attempt more than 15 passes in this game.

Early look at the weather for Friday. The high is 34 and the low is 19. If there is any kind of wind this will effect both teams passing game. This would definitely help the Rams.

I think some are underestimating the Raceland offense. They managed 359 yards against 2A semifinalist, LCA And definitely underestimating a Raceland defense that is only allowing 80 yards passing/game. That defense held highlands to 165 yards of offense. They haven’t faced a team that’s going to throw it 30-40 times a game. But Raceland isn’t underestimating anyone. From the sounds of things Sayre thinks they have it in the bag since beating Pikeville.
And FWIW…Pikeville looked to be a shell of what they were when Raceland played them in the regular season. Raceland matches up better with Sayre than Pikeville did. I’m not saying that Sayre isn’t capable of winning the game and it’s not going to be easy. But Sayre will have to be able to stop the run and keep Raceland from controlling the clock. If Raceland doesn’t sputter in the red zone, they will win this game.

If Sayre can stop Brenden Anthony, they can stop any RB in Raceland history (IMO). Raceland needs to focus on stopping the Pennington’s offense.

I agree, Pikeville was beat up and had to many injuries in the end to overcome. They still give Sayre all they wanted. This game is gonna be a good one, but I still say if Raceland evens up the play book some, like around 30% pass plays, with the run game and the great defense, they will win this by at least two touchdowns. If they do the same old thing and try to prove a point that no one can stop the run, then the defenses better be ready to play a lot. I am not saying Raceland won't run on Sayre, I think they can like they did last year, but they have to mix it up. Sayre is a good team and is not gonna make it easy for the Rams. I am excited for this game. I hope the Rams get there first state title.

This shall be quite the matchup for sayre because Raceland is going to establish run game early and by the end of the game have over 350 rushing yards

I’m baffled with how little respect most have given the rams rb stable. I don’t see how people don’t think the RAMS won’t run all over Sayre in December 6th. The Rams gashed an LCA team that had one of the best front 7’s in 2a. Burroughs had his boys rolling in that game and don’t be surprised when it happens again.

One thing about Raceland is that there scout team/special teams captain #57 billy Hughes you just cannot count out of the picture when it comes down to RAM TOUGH #57 fits that description he will be a menace all night on that kickoff team a message for sayre stay away from #57 unless you want your helmet knocked off.

I believe the rams will flip a switch this go and around and start the game firing on all cylinders. I expect this game to be a shoot out both ways and have a combined total of over 70 points scored. Look for Coffman and Marushi both to have big days. In the end, I believe the rams will prevail and claim their first state championship. From being around the area, I know the city of Raceland will have every light on until 3 in the morning. No one will live this moment down.

This should be a phenomenal matchup between two really good teams. I think Sayre will give Raceland a lot of challenges in the offense Pennington has developed there and the athletes he has in his system. Will be great to watch.

I want Raceland to win this game because of some of the posters from Raceland seem to be very much football guys but I don’t care how long you be around football at any school and I have been around football at Belfry and Pikeville the last few years but to say Raceland has a back better than Anthony on this team right now is a crook now he may develop to be a great back but no way in comparison to Anthony end of story

He even has a couple touchdowns on the year too. Definitely someone Sayre should watch out for!

I was wrong about Sayre, they are legit. But the title comes home to eastern Kentucky. I'm proud of this team no matter what happens but I believe the time is now. Whether Johnson Central, Ashland, Pikeville, or Belfry, eastern Kentucky teams have been sneaking trophy's past the Winchester wall. This year Raceland is the last team standing from the east and I'm feeling another trophy making it's way eastward.

I completely agree. Trey mills was a dominant ram alumni in multiple sports. He was a crazy beast on the court and on the Feild. There’s no better man on or off the campus.
