After hearing some comments that the LCA coach made towards the mayfield team and fans and town, I really hope the comments get back to the administration at LCA. Called our kids weak, the town and fans trash, kept his starters in with less than 4 minutes in the game and up 40-7, and according to several sources after LCA scored to make it 47-7 with 2 minutes left, ran down in front of the mayfield fans, winding his arm yelling running clock. Just a total lack of class. I’ve never witnessed that from beechwood so I hope beechwood beats the s*#£ out of them!

Wow! I'll be honest, I was at both championship games when Beechwood beat LCA. I watched the coach alot. He never acted in any way like whats being said. He seemed to be the most reserved and respectful coach I had ever seen. I know some that had kids play for him and said the same thing. Said you would never hear anyone around the program say a bad word about this man. So its shocking to hear something like this from my standpoint because it doesn't match his demeanor at all from what I have seen and heard.

The things were said, believe me or not, I really don’t care. I try not to be negative on here, but I felt I had to bring these comment they made to light. And I will be the first to say we have some fans in that corner that can be obnoxious and embarrass me at times. EVERY team has those. But for coaches to act as they did is out of line. Anyway, congrats to LCA, they have an awesome team, mayfield would lose to them 10 games out of ten. But because of the actions and comments made by a couple of coaches I hope beechwood beats their a^%

I'll also chime in that I could never see Doug Charles doing something like that, but other coaches and some of their players acting like that? Doesn't surprise me in the least. Never seen a team who underachieves in the postseason as much as LCA does talk as much trash as they do.

Give me Beechwood 28 - 24. I may have bias because I saw LCA beat my team by 40. But I think Beechwood just pushes by. If LCA wins(which wouldn’t surprise me at all) they basically get a home game for state next week. O-Cath would have to travel almost 3 hours, while Somerset would have to travel and hour and half. LCA could just walk to Kroger field if they wanted too.

Complaining that your team is getting beat so bad (at home in the 3rd round) that the opposing team didn't pull starters is pretty dumb. Guessing maybe the only way Mayfield could have beat LCA is if they put in their JV team. Also - Mayfield is known for having a tough home environment but it sure aint classy! Opposing teams that walk onto that field get cussed and all sorts of hand gestures so it's ironic to call out another team on "class". I couldn't see any high school coach running in front of the opposing teams fans like you explained. Was probably some dumb freshman trying to troll Mayfield fans - obviously it worked.

Lmao, you have no idea what you’re talking about. A class program doesnt leave starters in the game, up 40 points, with under 4 minutes to go. And yes we do have some fans in that end zone that get nuts at times, BUT NOT OUR COACHES, ever! Just wait till your team leaves starters in the game during a blowout and get a player injured, I’ve seen it happen and the coach will be sorry about that decision, bet on that. As I’ve said, LCA has a really good team and I congratulate them in their win. I’ll refresh your memory Mayfield did beat them the last 2 years. There’s way more that happened I haven’t even posted but I’ll leave it, talk smack to me about LCA when they match the championship banners we have plastered on war memorial.

Did this come from the same fans that stood at the LCA buses and cussed and flicked them off as they boarded the buses? I cannot get the link to work but if anyone is interested search @Barstool LCA  on X and you can see a recording of what LCA had to put up with after the game. Don't throw stones in a glass house!

Evidently some of you either missed my point or you can’t read. I admitted, several times that we do have some unruly fans, EVERY team has them, yes, EVERY team. My point was about COACHES acting with no class. Anyway, I couldn’t care less if you believe it or not, it happened along with other actions, BY A COUPLE OF COACHES. I’m not bellyaching about the loss, LCA beat our a!%. Props to them
