So Far I am 2-0. Letcher won by 20 something vs Magoffin and Paintsville won by like 17 against a good Perry Team

With Davis’ leadership, watts’ ability to score, Estep and Maynard’s ability to kill on the boards, and the teams overall ability to move and share the ball. Road to Rupp starts now.

Lawrence got down nearly twenty in first quarter as valley made everything. Then went up nearly twenty before valley made it respectable.
Both teams play extremely hard and physical.
If Lawrence gets it figured out they will be a matchup no one wants.
Valley when hitting shots looked great.

Anybody know the final score of the Belfry-Russell scrimmage? I know Belfry won based on the Hudl fan app’s stream but you can’t see the scoreboard on there.
I thought Belfry looked much better than their first outing against East Ridge.

A lot of great talent on display! In my eyes Martin Co. looks to be the early favorite. Parker Watts is the real deal. The one thing I noticed from pretty much every 15th region team was defensive intensity. Gonna be an exciting season.

Lawrence and Shelby Valley was a rock fight. SV went up 28-10 in first quarter. LC scored 30 in second quarter to lead 44-43 at half. LC stretched it out to 18 in fourth at one point. Transfer PG Kaiden Harris led LC with 27. Was a matchup of two of the hardest playing most well coached teams in the 15th. Was impressed by SV Taylor will win a bunch of games with them this year.

Martin was the show of the day. However Scott Co was also not the Scott Co of old. Watts and Maynard looks good to come straight from playoff game to basketball.
Belfry was much better than first scrimmage vs East Ridge. Phelps is improved. And Paintsville put a beating on PCC score was decently close but the physical play and ability to score in half court by Cole definitely should’ve put region on notice the tigers are serious contenders. Magoffin after graduating all those kids is going to struggle the took a huge L to LCC.
Johnson Central looked good Shepard shot lights out and Slone was Slone. McKenzie has a team to win it this year.
Game of the day was Lawerance and Valley no idea that Valley would be able to compete at that level this soon. Chandler had his guys tuned up one of the best coaches in region. But Valley will shock the region if last night is a sign of what is to come.

Paintsville with a great win over an always competitive Perry Central team.
Think the Tigers are going to surprise a lot of people this year, all the talk goes across the creek for Central and up the road at Martin Co, but Paintsville will not only look to play spoiler to those teams, but make noise in the district/super region. Making it isn't the goal, getting to Rupp is, as goes for every team but the standards are obviously different at Paintsville. Return basically your whole roster from last season, a year under their belt, get stronger and toughen up especially in that district. Expect some big things from Paintsville this season.

They start 6’0 6’1, 6’4, 6’4, 6’7. They can all shoot the ball and get to the rim effectively and they looked very good rebounding. They bring good role players off the bench it looked like that all play extremely hard.

Nucleus of this team has been together last 2-3 years like you've said, and most of the starters/main rotation players are sophomores who all started & played big minutes last year, and also gained valuable experience as 8th graders. Obviously Central & Martin Co will get all the attention, but don't overlook Paintsville. Coach Slone always has is teams prepared to win and leave it all out on the court.
