Kentucky vs. Lipscomb 11/19.
#1
First game for the Wildcats since the Duke victory last week.

Tipoff 7pm, SEC Network+

What's everyone's thoughts?

The Cat's stay focused and get the win.

Lipscomb played Arkansas like a week or so ago.  Arkansas won by 16. I thought that was interesting that we have a common opponent with our former coach.

Lipscomb also just recently lost a close game vs Western KY.  We play Western KY here in a few games.

I haven't been to Rupp to watch the Cat's in a few years.  I've got the sudden urge to go again soon!

My former Aunt was born a Lipscomb. She was nuts. Lipscomb has about as much chance of winning this game as I do of transitioning to a Sunday School teacher.

I can see the Cats come out flat early on after a big win and with the time off in between but I think they will evetually get it together. However, i feel like Pope is the type to not allow his teams to lose focus in practice. Sometimes more can be told about a team and staff after a big win or even after a loss.

@Bluecat you could've easily been right about coming out flat and let Lipscomb hang around, but I'm glad you were wrong! lol

You were definitely right on the last part tho, Pop will not allow this team to get complacent, also having a veteran squad helps a lot with that as well. From the opening tip they were a well-oiled machine, great ball movement & spacing, they just have so many shooters on this team, something Kentucky basketball has NEVER had, the bigs are complementary, and even Williams can run the offense from the perimeter or high post. Defensively they were contesting every shot, active hands and forcing turnovers into transition.

Definitely could've been a letdown game after all the praise this team has received in a weeks' time, but the way they played, it was like the Duke game never even happened. Sure, was fun to watch.

I am sure there will be a let down at some point but right now I like the directioni this team is going. They do have some bigger tests coming up but I feel they are built for it. The experience factor is huge. Even Chandler is a 21 year old freshman. I don't see a lot of things rattling this team. Other than an off night I don't think they will beat themselves.

Oh yeah, I expect the same thing. I know we're not going to run the table and dominate, there will be off nights where the shots aren't falling, and there's going to be losses, the difference with this team and coaching staff is they're more equipped to handle those adverse moments, move on and make adjustments so they don't keep happening. I'm like you, really big on the direction of this team.

Got a crazy stretch in the schedule coming up, with road trip to Clemson, neutral site games vs. Gonzaga & Ohio St, and hosting Louisville.

It's not terribly neutral. It's in Seattle.
