Paris vs Sayre. Thoughts?

Sayre plays someone with half a pulse this week and will roll. They might get Pikeville at home next week and will not roll.

This is one of those games, along with Hazard/Williamsburg that aren't sure things. Yes Sayre and Hazard should win but if either or both of them lose than what a wrench thrown in the playoffs. As of now if both Sayre and Hazard win we see Hazard at Raceland and Pikeville at Sayre. If Paris upsets Sayre, then we see Paris at Raceland, Pikeville at Hazard third round. If Williamsburg beats Hazard, we see Williansburg at Sayre, Pikeville at Raceland. If both Sayre and Hazard loses we will see Paris at Raceland, Williamsburg at Pikeville. Of course this is a big IF but not impossible.

I’m not sure that Williamsburg doesn’t beat Hazard. I think they can and it would set up an enormous game where Pikeville travels to Raceland for the 3rd round. Don’t see Paris beating Sayre. Then Sayre would get Williamsburg and could march to the semis. Hazard/Williamsburg game has big ramifications. Either way, Sayre is likely getting Campbellsville in semis and they aren’t beating Campbellsville.

I don't think Williamsburg beats Hazard. Williamsburg schedule is the weakest in Class A per Calpreps and it's not even close. That's really saying something. Having said that, Williamsburg isn't an easy place to play and nobody seems to know Johnson's status, plus we know RAD is praying hard for Hazard, so lots of ifs in this one. I'm going with the Bulldogs though.

I don’t think it’s remotely possible, but I’d love to see Paris pull the upset. Could care less about what it would do with who plays who in the next round. Someone is goina have to beat Pikecville to win the title. Doesn’t matter if it round 3 or at Kroger. But I’d just like to see Paris beat them bc of all the hype Sayre has had the last two years. They have yet to come close to beating a team with a pulse. Paris has some athletes id love nothing more than for those athletes go off on Friday night.

Just an observer here that has caught a couple of games for Paris this year and 3 or 4 last year. Paris could possibly be the most talented team in 1a ( more so last year than this, bc I believe they graduated their entire line) but they have zero on field discipline and structure. Their play calling is abysmal and their QB play is generally to throw the ball as far as they can.
Talent wise, Paris will have the better team minus QB and Coffman. Game wise Sayre's staff will be prepared as will their players and will execute. Paris will be playing backyard football. Sayre by 21.

Paris always resembles a travel football team to me. Full of athletes but always seems like they have no clue how to use them
