Hell, I saw the coach take #2 out of the game for his antics. Good luck the rest of the way, we will have to agree to disagree. No it football. Prestonburg got away with a lot that game. I seen a lot with my own two eyes. Yes Breathitt had some thing need to clean up . #2 has came long way. Last year he would threw a punch if that happened. He has grown leaps and bounds on controlling his actions. Not taking pride in Breathitt being dirty but u hear people get on hear saying that never happened in State championship years. I’m just saying Pburg and Belfry and Breathitt were very dirty teams back then. Honestly I want kid show little fight every know then. Like said it Football!!!
I played in the late 80's into the 90's. Prestonsburg and MC Napier were the dirtiest teams I ever played against.

But both teams were guilty of it. Don’t try lay just on Breathitt

So much hate toward a high school football program for no reason.Way Too much logic and common thinking for this thread! You must have forgot this is where grown men (most who never played a snap) like to come to so they can bash on kids. I Couldn’t imagine back in the 90’s as a player having a place where guys went to talk football and you wanted to go check out what people were saying about your team. Definitely a Different time.
2024 Prestonsburg is nowhere near the teams of old. 100% realize that. We are nowhere near on the level of Pikeville, JC, Belfry, etc etc. anyone who says they are don’t know anything… although I’ve heard no one do that. Most people around town realize we are rebuilding and rebooting. For the past several years- this program has been ON THE BRINK OF DEATH.
Wes Hager has came here and played the schedule he was given, excited the community, and gotten the most out of his players. Period. 9-1, and a district championship when most people (me included) thought they would win 3 games. This program is on the rise. It may take 3-4 years to be really competitive with the traditional powerhouses again, but we couldn’t even tie our shoes correctly the last several years. People mocked the hiring of Hager, but he and his staff have exceeded expectations from top to bottom. I know getting on here and bad mouthing the program gets most of your all’s pants wet, but you have no idea what you’re talking about. I know we aren’t winning a state championship this year… I just wanted them to line up and play hard to be honest. Wes probably has a 99% approval rating in Prestonsburg besides a couple jealous folks that had the job or didn’t get the job.
As far as “recruiting” it’s not recruiting when you have kids and their parents from other schools WANTING to go to Prestonsburg. Every team around has cherry picked from the Blackcats for years since 2015. Funny that now they’re wanting to come here and it’s an abomination. Shut up.
And to the Martin County poster who commented “exposed” the Cards lost to Prestonsburg after winning 44-0 last year you moron.
Congrats Breathitt on the win!

Wes Hager played the regular season schedule he inherited. Was it soft? Yes. Did they win the games they were supposed to win? Yes. Did they win against teams that had beaten them the previous years? Yes. Call it fake or whatever, but that doesn’t detract from the effort these young people put forth this year. Will the schedule be more competitive in the future? A resounding, Yes.
I honestly thought that the Breathitt-P-burg game would be closer than what it was. I was not underestimating Breathitt. I was overestimating P-burg. Looking back, I can see things in a more practical fashion. This is a team with just 3 seniors. Granted 3 very talented athletes but there are only 3. This is a very young team. A team with little exposure to off season training until this years.
I see a decent run in the playoffs, but far from the championship.
I think the future for the program looks great, building on the foundation of this season.
The last few years young men would tell you they were a student of Prestonsburg High School who played football. Now they say I am a football player at Prestonsburg High School. That speaks volumes about the future. Go Cats.
