Kentucky vs. Minnesota St. Mankato 10/29
#1
Final exhibition game for tonight.

Done some research on the team they're playing, and they seem to be the real deal. Defending DII National Champions, finished last season with a 35-2 record.

Should provide a solid test for Kentucky, what's everyone's thoughts on this one.

Tip-off is at 7pm, SEC Network+ just like the last game. If you have WatchESPN on the ESPN app, you should have access to watch w/o an ESPN+ subscription.

And I think they return what 3-4 starters? I think in this one we need to see the same type of ball movement and defensive pressure. Kn the last game they seemed to build off their defense and didn't let up once they got a lead. Hope to see the same killer instinct in this one.

Not as good a showing as last time out. The Cats struggle, and 17% of the fan base start calling for Pope to turn in his Book of Morman.

Be a good test for the Cat's.  The type of team we need to play,  to prepare for the season. This will help us get tuned up for the Duke game,  coming shortly.

I think whoever has scheduled these games,  has done a great job so far.

Slow start but gotta love how they just keep playing and keep shooting. Went from a close game to game over in about a 5:00 spurt, if that.

Nice win for the Cat's!

The Cat's seem to be playing with a purpose and a passion baby! Gonna be a fun season  Wink

We will know rather soon in the regular season where we stand

And there it is. Calipari sucked for years. Plus the obligatory religion slur. Crazy ass brainwashed people full of hate would rather lose with a flaming liberal than win with a religious person that is a super guy by all accounts.

Love your crazy ass OSH

Oh yeah we are winning and the excitement is back AND WE ARE SAVING ZILLIONS $$$
Not to mention we don't have to eat a giant sh!t sandwich and punch ourselves in the face every time Cal spews his horse sh!t

We are good but there are going to be ups and downs
Cal was allowed to suck for years and 83% of the fan base was ok if you believe OSH's numbers so I am on board

Oh I am on board for sure. I was just saying that we will see a true test early on as we play Duke in what the third game of the season. I already like what I see in their effort with ball movemnet and on the defensive end. When shots aren't falling their hard nosed play will keep them in the game long enough to get their shots falling.

I think Cal and Pope are both probably okay guys. I do think Cal probably got content and lazy. Pope is probably hungrier and gonna put in more prep time. He better finish higher than fifth in his conference at his new gig, though, or his honeymoon will be over soon.

Tuesday November 12 is when we play Duke,  I believe.  Less than two weeks away.

I think what really helps this team is the experience and maturity of the team. Haven't seen a UK team this old in a long time. I can see some bumps early on but once they get it, watch out.

I read somewhere that this team has combined for nearly 600 starts in their career.

Obviously seen how much the landscape of the game has changed with NIL & transfer portal, one aspect that doesn't get talked about much is how teams are now relying on experience & leadership as compared to the one & done, youth movement that we've seen in years past.

I think this will definitely benefit Kentucky, they've got some guys who have been in the trenches, who will be able to handle the pressures and adversities.

I just want to be entertained. Titles are icing. Last year's team, with Reed & Co. , were very entertaining , at times. Unfortunately, they didn't entertain at all against Oakland. This season's team has the potential to be highly entertaining, if nothing else. Could be a fun season. Likely will be bumps, though.

Cal lost to Oakland St Peters and everybody else. And the last several years Cal was about as entertaining as a root canal. Throwing players under the bus is low rent AF. Thank God and Greyhound Cal's gone. Good luck to Mark Pope, the excitement it back.
