I’ve enjoyed seeing Prestonsburg have the success they’ve enjoyed this season but Breathitt takes their zero this week in a close one.

We actually last beat Breathitt in 2017 at home but 2016 was the last win on the riverbank.

I love the confidence we are currently playing with and that gives us a chance in this one. Teams under the previous regime would’ve came out flat for thus one, but I feel like Wes will have them all gassed up for Breathitt and a shot at 10-0!

The bad thing about getting things going late, is that their postseason will end in round 2 at Beechwood. You really need the number one see in district 6, with Beechwood looming in district 5.  But a win here would most likely allow the Bobcats to finish at .500 for the 2nd season in a row.

Compared to Breathitt's schedule, no this isn't as tough, but Hager and the Blackcats couldn't help who was or wasn't on the schedule. All Prestonsburg has done is take care of business every week. They beat Leslie in Hyden when the Eagles had Kilburn, they beat Paintsville when they had Johnson. They lost by a combined 80 points to Paintsville, Betsy Layne, Martin Co, and Floyd Central last season and in just one season they're +45 against those same programs. That's an unbelievable turnaround, especially when you consider Prestonsburg lost 4 of their 5 linemen from last season to either graduation or transfer. They graduated their leading rusher and only returned 8 players with varsity experience. What this staff and team has accomplished through 9 games is very impressive. 

This has the potential to be a great football game and atmosphere. I can't wait.

Coming from a Bobcat fan and not the Breathitt County type lol, I hope the Blackcats can stay undefeated but this is gonna be a tall test on the road for them, but they have continued to prove doubters wrong all year. I think the possibility of a BL-Pburg rematch is looming, would love to see 11-0 vs 9-2 in what would be the biggest game likely every in Floyd County football history. 

Give me the Blackcats by a touchdown in this one, Elliott and Harris have hardly been stopped all year and don't look for it to stop this week!

Prestonsburg is un defeated but it comes against cup cake city. We will see come Friday night if they are as good as their RPI and record shows they should beat Breathitt by at least 3 scores. But I think they could be a paper tiger we will find out soon enough. I prestonsburg would have played A comparable schedule to Breathitt they would have a similar record.

To win, the Blackcats have to execute. Block well, tackle well, with no turnovers. It’s nearly impossible to beat Breathitt on the rive bank. I remember Michael Burchett being called for hurdling for leaping into the end zone for a go ahead score. It’s not a neutral field. The one thing I do like is their fans. None of the garbage I’ve witnessed at other places (looking at you Hyden). They cheer their team, then go home.

Lol, is that what you got out of that? RUMORS floating around out of Johnson, Magoffin, Floyd, and yes, Martin County, about kids transferring to Pburg. I highly doubt anyone at Pburg is recruiting any players from any school in any of those counties. If you’re worried about kids at your school, go talk to the parents and kids about it.

It's simple, if Breathitt can finish drives, they win, and by a bigger margin than most think. If not, Prestonsburg will leave Jackson with a 10-0 record. This is a game where Prestonsburg's schedule will hurt them, and Breathitt's schedule will have them prepared. Breathitt wins 42-21.

The Bobcats have been playing a lot better of late. See improvements each week on both sides of ball. PBurg is a solid team and won a lot close games this year . Tells me they have good leadership and never quit attitude. Bobcats LBs will have be physical and tackle well. Defense Line needs control line scrimmage and get off blocks. I think bobcats have chance for a really good win to end regular season. Bobcats has been clicking last two weeks hopefully they can continue the momentum in this game. Bobcats O-line has been huge last two games and they have ran ball really good and spread ball around in passing game. Been very balanced and scored on almost every possession had ball. Execution has been really good.

This is going to be a really entertaining game. I look at prestonsburg schedule and while 9 and 0 is impressive they really have not beaten anybody. I'm not saying Breathitt is elite but they are better than most everyone that prestonsburg is beating on their schedule. We are swinging by on our way home from a cross-country trip and will be at the game. I hope it's as good and as intense as the old-time breath it prestonsburg games.
