Hazard vs Breathitt County. Thoughts?

Give me Hazard in a high scoring game!
#3
I like Breathitt in this one.
#4

#5

Don’t know if slim is a parent or what but def a family member. My bet is that he will quit again.

So Sperry back? If so how long?

Hazard 5-0

Breathitt is done

Magic number is 24. If Hazard can keep Breathitt at or below this number, the bulldogs come away with the win. If not it’s anyone’s game. Hazard has improved, possibly more than any single A team I’ve seen in one season, but their defense has been suspect to give up points, and it hasn’t been against the best competition. This is really their last game to tune that up before the tougher part of their schedule starts.
#13
I just think it is sad that Breathitt is now considered a team in the “weaker part” of 1A Hazard’s ( who won one game last year) schedule.

Is this true?
#14
My question for this one is who gets ejected? Breathitt seems always hyped to play Hazard. The good thing in this one is I don’t expect any RPOs or anything like that. Breathitt is straight hand it off or pass. The question for Hazard is can they get pressure n keep the Hollan kid off balance. Breathitt needs to sure up it’s secondary or hazard may have a field day.

Breathitt got any injuries besides the 3 in the wreck?

This could go one of two ways for the bobcats. Get something going early. Get a few stops or hope for a turnover. Take care of the football and drive it down the field. Take your shots here and there on 2nd and short or 1st downs. The game I watched Hazards D doesn’t look very good but you never know. Breathitt wins if they take care of the football and manage to get a few stops because Breathitts offense isn’t as bad as people think. They’ve just been doing against Johnson Central and Belfry and a pretty good PCC team. Max Pelfrey is going to get the ball out so I wouldn’t worry about sending too much pressure. Pick when you want to send it and make it cat and mouse game. Disguise coverages: Play tighter on WRs and make them try to throw it over the top. 8/10 times the deep ball has to be perfect to catch it unless they are wide open. They complete their screens and dip and dunks it will be a long night for the cats. Just my two cents and it isn’t worth a penny.

Hazard's defense was better against Letcher minus one busted play late and penaties extended the other two scoring drives. I feel the key to this game is which D has less mistakes. Could be another high scoring affair.

Hazard looks great under new leadership, with that being said the two teams look very comparable. Hazard wins by 2 scores!!

Breathitt takes them by surprise.

I don't think it makes a lot of sense for Sperry to come out at this point of the season and risk injury. I could understand if Breathitt was a contender, but at this point, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

What is it a minimum of 10 days in helmets and pads? I don’t believe game days are allowed as practice days I don’t believe. Believe this was posted in the paintsville/martin co thread.

I was wondering about that. Doesn't one have to go through the process of helmets and pads before allowed to play?

Took out of the Paintsville/Martin Co thread

(F) Each player, in order to be eligible to participate against another school and to become acclimatized and acclimated, shall have taken part in a minimum of five (5) practices over five (5) days in helmets only, three (3) practices in helmet and shoulder pads over three (3) days followed by three (3) contact practices over three days. A contact practice on the date of a contest shall not count as one of the required practices in allowing the student to play in that contest.

Hollan throws all over the dawgs defense in a pure shoot out.
49-46. Breathitt. I hope to see Corey combs back on the field soon and it’ll help the bobcats d that’s been atrocious.

Sperry has been back for two weeks . He practice a week half in summer too. He could played last Friday but they
Made go through the 10 days again. I think bring another big element on offense and don’t be surprised see him play defense.

He could played vs Johnson but made him start over with his days. They just kept on low down. He had pretty much 2 weeks back July. So Kyle done right way made start over. I seen on sidelines vs Johnson Central

Hoping to see Hazard get back to keeping there foot on the gas after getting a lead and finishing like they did the first 3 weeks of the season. But a rivalry and game against ur Alma mater is a big thing for a first time coach and it was a win I’m sure he wanted more than anything, and I’m sure those nerves converted over to the players for the week as well. I think Hazard gets it’s done tonight with a 48-20 win.
