If the RPI falls like these rankings we have the below matchups.  No complaints from me.  I'd take it!

Round 3 : Cov. Cath at Boyle and Johnson Central at Corbin.

Semi finals:  Franklin County at Boyle and Corbin at Paducah Tilghman

Think this would be an awesome matchup. I’m a Mayfield guy, and have always respected Tilghman and Corbin both. 2 completely different styles of ball. Tilghman has athletes all over, but Corbin being more of a fundamental and disciplined bunch. I’d be excited to see this, and I’d also be excited to see PT vs Boyle. At first I really thought PT would be the one to dethrone Boyle. After last week, I’m unsure. Boyle is very impressive and continues to dominate no matter who they line up against. I’m not picking against them ever again! They are a very gritty football team and for a school their size to be ranked #14 in the country is just super impressive.

That would be a great game. It's also a long, long way from Corbin to Paducah.

Good looking list.
I understand the comments are just speculation  Smile

So here you guys are  Sleepy on the district with JC and Ashland!

Both of these schools are still playing football to the last I checked!

Who was the last team besides Boyle to win 4a?  I'll wait  Wink

Yep. And 42 years is a long, long way from then to now. Two big chances missed the past two seasons for my Hounds.  No one's knocking off Boyle this year.

King Kong, Man, I am a King Kong fan!!!! The real King Kong of course. LOL.  Smile I was chatting with a guy today about Johnson Central and all those powerhouse teams and that big line that made like 7 years worth of finals. Im a big fan of that. Thats hard work from players and coaches and it paid off. Some of the most dreaded teams to play. Now I don't know how you figured anyone has forgotten about JC and Ashland, I look at them every week when I do rankings myself. I know I look at them every year in November and a lot of Decembers. But this year, they will have a chance to take one of the top 4 spots. No doubt about it and so will Ashland. Ashland is ready to prove they are at the top as well. But only 1 team can go on and that's what makes those games important when played during the regular season. I was at that game when Johnson Central beat Boyle. I saw it all. That year was the last year for Chuck Smith and that also was one of Matney's greatest coaching's and team performance. Great game. Talent all over the place on the field that night. Wouldn't dare say anything negative. Nothing but respect for Johnson Central. I also was at the game at North Laurel when Johnson Centrals now new coaching staff lost a thriller to North down to the wire. First time they had lost in years in the regular season. Met some JC coaches that day and very good men. Christian men at that. I see why they are tuff. Good leadership trickles down from top to bottom. I talk to a lot of people about football and about different teams. I'm hearing another batch of kids are already there and coming up that will again be like those 7 years of finals teams. I myself expect it. Thats a winning tradition over there and they know how to get it done.

No disrespect or ill intentions directed towards anyone. Which I can see how it come off as being head strong. I see that now that I've spent the rest of the evening fishing. That kind of therapy is hard to beat  Wink Plus driving thru fresh cut hay fields on the way there and back, my mind is now clear!
I appreciate your post here.  I knew how you felt about JC  and wasn't  Sleepy on them from your previous posts.  As you said in them everyone will have their say,  it'll all play out anyways.  If Corbin wins I'll be one of the first to offer Congratulations. Or any other team for that matter.
Bull you have a vast wealth of football knowledge.  In all honesty you know more about JC than I do,  I'm being serious!
So I offer my most sincere apologies. I've really enjoyed my time here and everyone I've interacted with has made me feel right at home.
I'm a King Kong fan myself, guess I made that obvious. Maybe before long you'll become a fan of the not so real King Kong   Smile

I'm glad to get some JC fans back on here cheering their team on. I already am a KING KONG fan! I like the name and the picture! I do think for Corbin and Johnson Central and Ashland, when they play each other, these are the circled games on the calendar that determines the most for the playoff direction for each team. I do realize, Corbin has not won on the road at Johnson Central. That will be a great night with alot on the line.

I am a small part of this site, I do appreciate the compliments. I like talking football but those behind the scenes are the real heros. Alot of stuff that can't be seen and Granny Bear, Spud6, Westside are constantly taking care of the real issues. They have allowed me to come on board and be myself and help them out when I can. I enjoy talking with everyone each week. I used to just read this site and never commented. One day I signed up and started to break the ice and talk. So what I do is just try to be myself, I talk the same way in person. Those on here that have met me know I will tell it like I see it. I like giving credit where credit is do and like alot of the posters, I will at times like to jab and cut up just like anyone else. Im actually the lowest Admin on the totem pole. Im like Gomer Pyle lol  Smile
