Lightening delays, crowd sing-a-longs, tired kids etc etc
That about sums it up!! Game didn't even begin until 10:05, and was halted again in the third quarter due to lightening. The game was called and UK declared the winner.
The people in my family that went to that game, got home a couple of hours ago.
Congratulations Wildcats!!!

Stayed up and watched the first half. Saw glimpses of good things on the offensive side. Much faster pace than last year. Defense was very good. On to the conference opener next week against South Carolina.

South Carolina barely eeked out a win yesterday, but I thought they played a strong game. UK better be ready!!
I'm getting to where I hate to hear that rooster crow ALMOST as badly as I hate hearing Rocky Top!!

I actually thought South Carolina looked pretty weak, was very lucky to pull out a win. On the UK game, I was actually very encouraged, I thought our defense looked like it could be seriously good. And on offense, we’ve got playmakers all over the field. The addition of Maclin at wide receiver really makes that a deep, talented group. Vandagriff looked ok, might not be a Will Levis, but probably an upgrade over last year.
With our schedule, this game is pretty much a must win. I think we are gonna lay the smack down on the Gamecocks (and yes Granny, that freaking rooster crow drives me nuts too, as do the illegal cowbells that somehow the SEC still lets Mississippi St. use). Let’s make it 31-10 Cats.

LOVE the cow bells!!! I used them for years! Also used an air horn a couple of times.

UK needs to roll SC. New QB should be excellent but 3 INT against So Miss concerns me. I've been reading this is Stoops' best defense at UK.
Where is CJ? I hope we haven't lost him.

Just saw where it was 1 INT so scratch concern

Yeah it was just one, on the opening drive of the game, and it was actually a tipped ball, so not a horrible, total misread type situation. This linebacker we picked up the portal from Georgia may be the best in the conference, Walker is probably the best interior d-lineman, and Brown is certainly the most dangerous return man. When have we had that many guys at the top of their position in the same season?

Gentlemen, I hope and pray your optimistic outlook is correct!!!
I dread the SC game, but it should shed a light on how this UK team is going to perform this year.

In fact, I might be able to predict the rest of their schedule based on their performance in that game. I hope it goes in UK's favor!

If we get this win Saturday, any chance College Gameday rolls into town for the Georgia game next week?

That game and Alabama/Wisconsin will be two of the biggest games on the slate. Fox has the rights to Wisconsin's game (and Oregon/Oregon State), so those are out.
South Carolina hosts LSU, but that's currently set for 11 am. I know times can change, but I think Kentucky is in a great place to host with a win.
