Last year Pikeville won this game in running the ball so I think Johnson Central is going to commit to stopping the run which is what I would do and I know Pikeville has to do to win this game which I think is Pikevilles strength so to me the game lays in the play calling and on Pikevilles ability to throw the ball and keep Johnson Central honest on defense if not it’s going to be a very close game and really depend on turnovers now all this comes from a person who never coached a game of high school football

Big game for both teams considering the rest of their schedules. Pikeville isn’t losing this week barring any crazy injuries or unforeseen circumstances. I think offense gets going and more threats emerge and defense proves a point. 28-14 Pikeville.

I think Pikeville wins this game. When you look back on the Corbin game, a few critical errors happened that led to Corbin scores showed the Panthers where they stood to start the season. That no doubt will be cleaned up this week. If not for those mistakes it would be a closer game. Pikeville has the Jimmies and Joes to get it done against JC but will have to cut out those mistakes. One bright spot from the Corbin game was when Corbin starters were gassed by the 4th qtr. Pikeville looked better conditioned overall, so that should go in its favor Saturday evening.

No. Not even warm.

I think they will. Johnson Central sucks since Hoot Gibson went into exile.Hoot was JC's 2nd biggest fan on here.
JC's biggest fan, well that title goes to none other than? Wait for it! Drum roll please ? ? ? ? ? Dougie!
PJ is JC's #1 fan here by far. No one talks about a team like that unless there's true feelings of respect there ? True feelings of love ♥️ and compassion! PJ Doug and the JC Golden ? are a match made in heaven ?

I'm new to posting here but have followed this site for awhile now. I think that you and osh help make this place what it is, wouldn't be the same without you guys
I messed up my original post. All those question marks was supposed to be laughing emojis!
So while I'm still learning to navigate around here, you can call me young grasshopper, if you want

And King Kong ditching the wife's "honey do" list to go fishing might be my new hero lol...Thanks JP! I can feel a tear start to swell in my eye lol this really is sounding like the love boat In all honesty ditching the wife's chore list does have consequences. From about mid April to mid June I fished almost daily! She then cracked the whip on me and I've been remodeling the place here inside and out, ever since
So she got the best of me, for now, at least she thinks! Fish bite good in the fall to get plenty of food before winter sets in. By the time I finish her chores, it'll be prime time to fish Truth be known, she'll have another list by then, I honesty never win lol

You guys in the 13th region shouldn't be measuring IQs, state championships, body parts or anything else with Hoot Gibson.
Back to the game. 1. If McCoart would have played last year JC would have beaten Pikeville. 2. Blake Caudill who rushed for 110 yards and the winning TD against JC last year got 0 touches against Corbin.
3. I don't sandbag.
Johnson Central 21, Pikeville 14
He had a monster game against JC last season. I messaged his dad after the game and congratulated them. Friends with his dad

In terms of playoff runs, advancing in the playoffs, He's already #2 in the history of the program, as head coach. He's done a really good job. He played for JC and had success in high school. Had success in college along with success being a major part of Matneys program as a assistant for years. In all honesty I can't remember the last year JC didn't at least play in the region title game, I really can't.
There was a time in the history of the program if we made a regional championship game, we'd had a big festival. Parades, concerts, the Mayo Plaza would've looked like New Orleans after the Saints won the Super Bowl that year! Turing cars over and setting the trash cans on fire! A huge celebration
One thing that goes unnoticed, the program has family vibes to it. Those guys are not only a football team but a family. When one of the players are going through a tough time, the others are there for them. No one in that program goes through any trial or tribulation alone. I've seen it with my own to eye's as has others here in the community. I believe this reflects to Coach Pecks character along with the character of the others on the coaching staff.
