Good game. One of my favorite mountain football matchups this season. If pikeville lets Duty go out and Ball the will win decisively but if they play straight power football relying on Anthony too much this will be interesting like last years game.

Imo Pikeville will handle Johnson co, probably better athletes all around both sides. The biggest difference will be coaching and prep and Pikeville is head and shoulders above.

I believe Pikeville is the favorite going into this game.  Believe they'll be mad and looking for revenge from last week,  thanks Corbin ?  JC will be mad after last week as well plus looking for revenge from last year's loss to Pikeville.  Should definitely be a good game.

I think for Pikeville to win, Duty is going to have to make some plays. He has the talent, but he hasn't been leaned upon a ton to be the guy to go out and win a tough game. This might the one where he has that chance. He's looked excellent in games were Pikeville's been in control of the game, but can he be a difference maker when the Pikeville ground game gets behind the sticks?

They should just start calling you Lou Holtz in Pikeville. You know and I know that Pikeville is gonna kick the sh!t out of JC. They will kick them SO hard that Hoot will get a hernia from all the way in northern Virginia. Btw, I wish to hell he would quit texting me. How did he get my number anyway? Thank you, Kong. May I just call you King?  I'm here to entertain my readers and give them some laughs. Poor ol' Hoot was unable to laugh at anything. And he certainly won't be laughing this weekend after Pikeville gives his Eagles a bad case of cat scratch fever.

I think Pikeville has the ability to put some points up in this one. By points I mean 30 or more. Unless Anthony comes out on defense i don’t think JC can score. JC will have a couple break away runs but will struggle to establish consistent drives.

Looking at stats from the Corbin game…

Pikeville only had 6 players touch the football offensively. They ran 40ish plays. That really surprises me with all of the weapons Pikeville has on the roster this year. That being said, those weapons are young in some places. Stephens (believe that’s the kid), didn’t get a touch as he probably played defense primarily. Didn’t look like they went to the GA kid but one time and in their scrimmages they spread the ball around quite a bit. This is a game that Anthony will likely have to have 15+ totes for Pikeville to be truly successful. I look for Duty to have a more efficient game as well. 50% on completions and 2 INTs is not like him. The most growth for teams seems to be from week 1 to week 2. I think Pikeville finds their footing in this one. It will be a grind it out type of game again with McCoart and Anthony going head to head. I’m expecting a 35-28 type of game…and it’s a toss up for me.
