How does Reeves subpar effort make Cal an idiot? How does Dilly and Reed's inability to guard a little girl at a school crossing make Cal an idiot? The players lost the game, not Cal. Again, Cal does not have, nor has he ever had, a lifetime contract. That is a social media myth. It's as nonsensical as the flat-earthers and Jewish space lasers and Greg Kelly. I agree with your last sentence wholeheartedly. If there is one silver lining to the loss, it's that those fools are in for a well deserved lost weekend.

You surround yourself with losers. Your non-sports team(genus Loxodonta) continues to lose time and time and time again and will do so again in a few months. And you continue to make excuses for the losing. Come on over and join us on the winning side of things. You'll be happier on the bright side.

^^^Lol! I watched the game with 2 buddies that graduated from UK like me. We went to UK games since we were little kids.
We have kids who are at UK now and who have already graduated from UK. I know you're trolling but please. My buddy said it best, everybody is sick of Cal's sh!t, fanbase doesn't like him, other coaches don't like him, refs don't like him, sports writers don't like him, and on and on...
His record speaks for itself. He has milked $150 million dollars out of this state since he beat anybody.

Something we should keep in mind: the concept of a conference championship is changing, and with the new "Super Conferences", it's only going to continue to get worse. When I was doing research on which teams had the most conference tournament championships, I was shocked to learn that UCLA had almost 3x as many national championships as they do conference tournament championships (11 to 4). Now, there were a lot of years they just didn't have a conference tournament and plenty of others where an Oregon or Arizona won it, but still.
The SEC only went to 12 teams in 1990. Before that, it was fewer teams and Kentucky getting a higher seed meant a lot more. Since the tournament expanded in 1985, we'd usually be the #1 and the conference was far more watered down from top to bottom-- at best, the four or five seed (who we'd meet in the semis might) be an eight seed or higher. Now, we're getting the same type of seed in the round of eight.
From 1991to 1998, Kentucky won seven of eight championships. Since, we've had another run where we won four straight. But during this time, Florida won two national titles, Missouri and Texas A&M joined the conference, and the rest of the league started an arms race by hiring better coaches as athletic department's budgets grew from the football money that was rolling in.
With the addition of Texas and Oklahoma (who've both been to a Final Four in recent memory), these chances to get upset early in the tournament are only going to grow.
All of this to say that, while I think Cal's recent performance in both the SEC and NCAA Tournament is wholly unacceptable, the era of a Kentucky dominating the SEC Tournament like UCLA dominated the NCAA Tournament during their heyday are probably gone, never to return again under the current structure.

But we have the excuse that Cal doesn't care lol. That crazy Auburn school and their fanbase are ecstatic today. How dumb are they anyway? They actually think they did something. Cut the nets down and will probably even hang a banner in their arena. Idiots.

And got a worse seed and a tougher path to the FF than KY, despite being ranked 15 spots higher than UK in KenPom(Auburn is 4th in the country/ UK is 19th). Like I said, that Nashville shit show doesn't mean Bo diddly squat.
