I have to give Coach Bonner and his staff credit for continuing to emphasis defense in the Ashland program. I've seen both teams a number of times this year. The difference between Ashland and Russell is Ashland emphasizes defense. They are by far the better coached team on the defensive end. Russell is a solid team when they are allowed to run up and down the floor and shoot freely. Ashland is a team that will not let that happen. They are a team that makes you work for everything. Kudos to Ashland. So far on the season, Ashland is 12-0 when they hold their opponents under 60 pts. 0-5 when they give up 60 or more. Convincing win for Ashland.
