Pikeville 54 Prestonsburg 43 (15th Region All A Semi)
#1
Final.

I think Pikeville got caught overlooking the Blackcats. Rough 3rd quarter from Pburg allowed a good Pikeville team to stretch the lead, but I’m proud of how the Blackcats fought. Just a tough night shooting for a team that usually gets 70+. Credit Pikeville’s defense.

Proud to be a Blackcat

Pburg looked promising in this one from what I saw on the phone! Keathley just young and inexperienced and hasn’t really established his self as a “winner” yet, but made huge plays nonetheless. Pikeville had too much fire power for them and Pburg just couldn’t make easy shots down the stretch. Bright future for the Black Cats though.

Pikeville may have played their worst game I’ve seen all year and still won by 11. Missed a ton of open shots and easy layups. Keathley has potential but needs to learn how to get all of his teammates involved. He had 25+ but no one else had over 6 or 7. Pikeville had 3 or 4 in double figures. If PBurg wants the win those types of game they can’t just stand and watch 1 player. He has to get everyone involved. Right now he just looks to shoot every time. He is just a freshman so he has time to learn all of that. He is their best player, so he will need to find a way to get the team involved. Also Estridge plays extremely hard. He should look to shoot more when he does get the ball on offense which isn’t often.

Pikeville is starting to play some better!

Pikeville with too much talent. PBurg has 1 kid who looks to score, then a bunch of kids who play hard and know their roles.

Pburg just gives the ball to 32 and get out of the way. That would be frustrating!
