Great game Kentucky has a new single season rushing leader. Daniel Thomas broke the 54 year record tonight. Hopefully he will break the touchdown record next game and send the Bobcats back to Kroger. The record is 50 and he has 49. Congratulations Bell County.

Carter came to play. You could see through the rain on the stream how packed the opposing bleachers were, probably brought more fans than any team all year. They had no intention of losing and fought.

Bells up 16-0, has 3 penalties on the drive and let them score to make it 16-8 with 36 seconds before half. Then drive down the field and has another penalty and has to throw a hail mary before half instead of just pounding it in. Carter gets the hall after half and scores to tie it. Bell has started great the last two weeks and finished great but they need to finish the half and come out of the half better. Back to back weeks they let a team score under 4 min in the half, and then let them score coming out of half. The run defense better tighten up too, missing tackles and getting pushed off the line is not a habit to get into on thanksgiving.

We lost 1 of them and the other is in the hospital. It was announced on the P.A. that they would be doing so. EC school officials came and ask for the bucket to be passed on their side too and their fans helped as well. They didn't have to do that. That's what we need more of in this land. You know, football games are just that-football games. The real emotions are in the parent/child relationships. And it don't matter where the kids are from. When children are hurt or in danger, EVERY parent should act!!!

It is amazing where East Carter's football program has come in less than a decade. Two regional championship appearances in three years.

Carter County in general has really overachieved in a wide variety of sports over that timeframe between East and West Carter. To have two regional championships and state semifinal appearances since 2020 in football between the two schools is an example of that.

One of the best under the radar programs in KY going right now. They have exceeded expectations almost every season under Champlin and his staff.
