Would love to see that program turn around, for the players and coaches.

Smile I am proud of this program!!! They have found a coach that wants to put some pride in the county. I hear he has walked hallways and is a players coach. Good stuff!!

And that is what it takes to help build a program at a rural school. The attitude of, "if they want to play, they will come out and play" just doesn't cut it at a school like this. There is usually talent walking in the halls of these schools that just need someone to encourage them to come give it a try, and when they do, and get hooked on the game. Then you've not only helped a young man, but you've got a family invested, and then he starts to encourage his friends to come give it a try, and you get more of the same. Good stuff coming from Jackson Co!

Smile I listened to the coach call in and invite the community to the games on a trading post show called Dial and Deal. It was encouraging to listen to him. He has a good attitude. That attitude is spreading through his team! Awesome stuff!!!

Dial & Deal is a big time listen for the people of Jackson County so the coach is in touch with his community, as well. The results show he knows what he's doing. Keep it going, Generals!!!!

I've seen a few people complaining that Jackson County shouldn't get much praise since they're playing a non-district schedule. What a bunch of killjoys on social media. Tickled to death for the Generals and the good people of Jackson County. Nice to see them experience some success and hope that it helps build a sustainable football program that continues to grow. That's not an easy thing in a rural county with little football heritage. Good luck, JC!

Hard not to be happy for this team. I’m sure they are happy with the results as opposed to years past

Totally agree! There are always those buzzkills on social media that want to take away from the accomplishments of the kids of a school like Jackson. They've done a helluva job!!! Keep it going, young men!!!

This is a great story. The Head Coach at the high school has done a terrific job getting buy in from the community, and for as small as the school district is the middle school program seems to be headed in a great direction as well. Everyone involved is and should be proud. This is how small communities build long standing programs. Keep it up Jackson County.
