I think LCA wins this one by a couple scores.

I watched a lot of the Boyle County/LCA game and came away very impressed with LCA, they are legit good and obviously no where near the same team Pikeville put a running clock on last season.

This will be the best team Pikeville will see this season, and by a pretty wide margin.

LCA 3 tds
#5
LCA - Doug takes his Alma Mater down
#6
LCA had a “great off-season” and I’m still gonna say they won’t put a running clock on Pikeville like Pikeville put on them last year.
#7
LCA should be pretty bang up after the Boyle county game last night……….Not sure about the margin of victory…….but LCA should win in a high scoring game.

LCA 49
Pikeville 27

I have a feeling this one will have a different outcome.... Smile

Would love to see pikeville SHOCK THE WORLD, but don’t think they have the horses to do so.

LCA 42-21.

Pikeville wins not going to put a running clock on LCA this year but squeak out a victory
#13
Pikeville put 60 on LCA last year in 3 quarters and now most people think Pikeville shouldn’t be on the field with them smh lol

LCA wins a close game

It’s hard to really tell how good Pikevilles defense is as a whole after the JC game. Pikeville can’t load the box against LCA because of Boley. But they haven’t had to load the box against anyone last year with the LBs they have and their DL was pretty impressive against JC. This one is close, but until someone can contain Pikevilles run game, Pikeville has a chance to win. 3 out of 10 by Duty I believe was a fluke. LCAs DL is tough though. I picked LCA but it won’t be like a lot are thinking. Pikeville can keep LCAs offense off the field. Going with LCA 35-28. But won’t be surprised to see it flipped.

This LCA team is revamped, and Pikeville is missing some pieces from last season. Give us LCA 42-28.

Panthers roll !!!!!! 42-28

LCA wins this one by 4+ scores, don't think my boys from Pikeville can hang with Cutter Boley, Brady Hensley and LCA  Confused

Just extreme Cramps from my understanding. Should be good to go.

I still want to know which pieces Pikeville is missing.

After hearing how good LCA is on this thread and the LCA/ Boyle thread I’m not sure Pikeville should even go. Maybe just go down and have a few Bloody Mary’s and eggs and go watch UK at noon and then just head on home and save some embarrassment. Probably what LCA should’ve done last year when their run defense was about as strong as a wet paper bag and Boley threw almost as many completions to Pikeville as he did his own receivers. If you listen real close I think you can hear Birchfield running in another TD haha.
Anyway I do think this is a huge test for the Panthers but honestly I’m not sure LCA’s defense is much improved because they’ve given up like 100 pts through 2 games and yeah I understand it’s 2 good teams but geez that’s a lot of points.
I think Pikeville needs to be physical, run the football, control the clock and limit LCA possessions……if they can do those things I definitely think they’ll be in the game. This might be the last time this season that Pikeville is an underdog so no matter the outcome compete like hell and get better…..
Hope both teams are hoisting trophies at the end of the year and hope for both to come out healthy.

If Pikeville does win I do not think anyone would be shocked. Pikeville has a qualified group to pull out this game. Now it will be a big challenge on the road against a team you spanked last season. LCA looking for some redemption and are at full strength this year. Close game I believe. Score possibly 36-24 LCA.

If Boyles defense gave up 38 then that is all I need to see....

LCA's offense is to much and can score to fast for the panthers this season.

LCA- 42

Pikeville- 28

Cannot wait to watch this one though!
