This won’t be as easy as some might think for the Rams, although I predict Raceland gets the win.

Letcher has a solid looking team and I think they can give the Rams trouble especially up front. This is a game that Raceland needs to win to get some momentum and to keep morale up. I look for this game to be similar to our game last week at Ashland and can go either way.

This one should be a dandy.

Gonna be a close game. I think Raceland will be the Favorite. But I'm gonna go with Letcher Central in this one. 35-28

To me, on tape, Letcher looks like Ashland but not quite as athletic. That being said, they remind me a lot of the Paintsville teams that gave us fits for a few years. This game is very important for a younger Raceland line. I really liked the development of the intermediate passing game and Lundy’s patience to find the open spots. According to KHSAA Shelby Valley actually outgained LCC by a good bit, just not where it mattered most, on the scoreboard. This game is closer than some think or care to admit, but I like Raceland by 10.

I thought the same thing about them looking like the Paintsville teams from 4-5 years ago.  They look like a strong physical team and we are going to have to find ways to get open space on offense to counter their size.

This will be the 2nd week in a row this young cougar team plays an elite QB. I was really surprised with how Letcher controlled the game against Shelby Valley. The key was the offensive and Defensive lines. The Dline put pressure on SV QB the whole night and really got them out of rhythm. I don’t know much about Racelands Oline but to me that will be the key in this game. I’m going to with Raceland to win this game in a close one.

I know nothing about LCC. I can’t even pretend to come up with a prediction. Hopefully the Rams can pull off a win

Their game last week was streamed on Mountain Top Sports.  I watched some some of the replay and that was how I was able to make a prediction.

Ram land will be happy and RAD will be back next week Rams defence is a lot better than Valleys and offensively they have more weapons than Valley this week is Rams first victory RAMS win

I know nothing about Letcher but others have made comparisons to Ashland....soooo....here's my two cents. Ashland hasn't quite arrived yet but...they have few players going both ways. Those that do play a lot one way and sparingly the other. They rotate a lot of people in and out according to the package they are in. If Letcher has the personnel to do this then they may have a chance. Raceland spreads you out and makes you cover the entire field, Ashland not only has size and speed but more of the same being rotated in and out the entirety of the game. Unless Letcher has a deep and speedy roster I don't see them hanging for 4 quarters. Raceland pulls away in the 2nd half.

Letcher just played a very similar team in Shelby Valley. I think a lot of people are underestimating how good SV is. They have a great QB and really good receiving core. I suspect Raceland is a little better than Valley so I’m going with the Raceland but I think this will be a close game.

Raceland has no ties to the 14th region and will get ZERO calls. They will have to be 2 TD’s better to stay in the game.

Nope. I actually don’t live in the area at all. I watch most of my games via streaming.

I think we will struggle with them up front.  This years version of the Rams is still physical but we are very inexperienced on the line.  Based off of what I saw from Letcher’s game against  Shelby Valley I think we will struggle with their size.  I think this match up favors Letcher by 10 points.

Scotty is right here 64 lol. Old account got locked out for some reason. So I got a new one. I think Letcher is about like Ashland upfront, they have some nice athletes too. I just think they lack that one guy that can take it to the house at any given time. That’s what allowed Ashland to beat us. Two big plays that we couldn’t make up for. That’s why I’m taking the Rams by 10 vs LCC. To their credit, LCC is much better than I thought they were going to be and this will be no easy task for Raceland on the road.
#29
Raceland by 3-4 scores minimum. I watched some of the Letcher SV game and SV inst very good with just an average Qb. All the hype for the Qb and don’t think he has a offer from Upike yet. Anyways wouldn’t surprise me if Raceland had a clock in the 3rd and cruises.
