This years small school OVC tournament for 7th and 8th grades will be held starting tomorrow at East Carter. The top seeds in the 7th grade are Ashland from the East Division and Mason County from the West Division. In the 8th grade Louisa Middle is the top seed from the East Division and Rowan County is the top seed from the West Division.
Here are the pairings for 7th Grade:

The 7th grade semis are on Monday, Feb. 6
The 8th grade semis are on Tuesday, Feb. 7

The 7th grade winners were Mason Co., East Carter, Ashland Middle, and Russell Middle.


The 8th grade winners were Rowan Co., Boyd Co., Louisa Middle, and Mason Co.

The 7th grade semis last night saw East Carter and Ashland Middle both win and will play for the Championship on Thursday Feb 9 @East Middle.

In the 8th grade semi-final Rowan defeated Boyd Co. and Louisa Middle defeated Mason Co. So the 8th grade finals on Thursday at 7:15pm will be between Rowan Co. and Louisa Middle.

In tonight’s championships of the OVC Large School Tournament Ashland defeated East Carter in the 7th grade and Rowan Co. defeated Louisa Middle 49-46 in the 8th grade championship. Thanks to East Carter Middle and High School for hosting this year’s tournament.
