Doesn't Corbin play their games away from their school? If so, will they also turf the field by their school or will they have to travel after school to practice?

Yes in the link posted above the article says they are going to turf the field by the high school.

Lots of renovations of old school football stadiums in Whitley County. Nowhere near as much $$$, but Williamsburg is adding turf and getting new bleachers at their place as well.

Saw the plans at the Pigskin Classic. Looks incredible.

Son of a b*+€#!! That was one of the best natural fields left in Ky! Well if they gonna do it I hope they do something nice in the endzones. They use to checkerboard it for pigskin a lot.

I saw the plans on the side of Campbell but didn’t really get to look closely at it. I think it’s going to be slick. I did see they’re doing the kid field in the post office endzone like Somerset has. Looks like they’re going to have a grand entrance with endzone seating on the riverfront side of the stadium. Are they doing anytbing to the bleachers on either side? I saw that they put a stucco exterior on the back side of the rock bleachers.

9.2 mill? Holy smokes good for Corbin. Love their current field and setup though.

I don't know when they'll get it, but Whitley County has said they are talking about getting turf. I never expected any school to get to spend nearly 10 million dollars on athletic facilities.

Wish I had that growing up haha. Pretty jealous over that. Then mom wouldn’t tan my butt cause I got muddy. But I’m glad their are doing something with the entrance, there’s so much room there you could do something really nice. Plus you could extend the seating like you said aroind the endzones. Maybe some nice chair back seats! Not sure about the structure of it, but they could extend the visitors locker room out some and maybe even give us more room when they do if we could expand down that way. Or even put theirs under the away side.
one thing I’ve always been jealous of is the teams that a nice entrance onto the field for players. You know they’ll come out under a big helmet or a mascot. There a team down in Georgia not to far from a family member whose mascot is a dawg. Team comes out where no one can see them and the enter into a HuGE dawg pound. The captains open the gate for the team to run out. It looked pretty nice for the team, and they enjoyed it. I wish they’d take just 1 million out of that, buy just a block of houses, tear it down, put parking!!

I always said that the should build a new locker room in the post office end zone with a giant scoreboard on it.

There’s enough room to build a small complex there where the old rec center use to be. Where everyone parks by the fence. They could be a good size building there for fairly cheap. It don’t have to be brick or anything. But turn that into a locker room and possibly a film room in there as well, for the off chance we adjust??♂️?♂️ At the half. (I’m kidding, it’s been a little better this year). And they have a straight entrance into the field. Knock out some walls and you have a bigger visitors locker room too

I love the history of our program as much as anyone, love seeing the old Hounds coming around especially Coach Burchetf….Campbell field holds a place dear to my heart but of the the history and heritage around that field if I was ranking things I loved those concrete bleachers and dressing room wouldn’t be any where close to being on the list…I wish someone or some people would start getting as aggravated at seeing it as I am, it’s in tatters and needs replaced not another coat of paint or vinyl wrap…

And you have to think that locker room was built when 40 players for Corbin was an enormous team. Now we hit 90 and no one bats an eye.
