RPI Question ??
#1
When does RPI come out? Anyone know forsure.. ? Tried looking it up.
#2
I think somewhere around week 5 or 6. The KHsaa says officially “midpoint” of a season.
#3
Last year it was posted 9/20 which was just after the 5th week..

A KHSAA news release dated today (9/7/22) states that the first official football RPI rankings will be released Monday, Sept. 12.

4A RPI Forecast as of right now.......3rd round I predict Boyle and Corbin to be the 1 and 2 seeds meaning if they win out, they will not face each other till the championship game..... HMMMMMM.... So that means the 3rd round opponent for Corbin will be either Johnson Central most likely or Lexington Catholic in Corbin...

I think Corbin will be up at the top spot, not sure my Rebels will win out this time around. Hope so, but just not sure.

I wouldn’t bet against them. They will only get better game by game and the only team I see that has a chance is Frederick Douglass in the regular season IMO. .

I think Bowling Green will give Boyle County a better game this year, Frederick Douglass will too. Other than that Boyle should win every other game running clock style. I think Corbin goes undefeated in the regular season and will be the #1 in RPI. I think Corbin will host Franklin County and Boyle will host Johnson Central.

Yea but you seen what a tough schedule did for you vs a weak one for us. This is is still up for grabs as far as SOS for us. It remains to be seen what pikeville has, I know that’s gonna piss a lot of people off but that’s my thoughts. They are basing themselves off a loss to us, and I still don’t know how good we are. We are good. Just the level of “good”. Same with Franklin too.

I do think the upper echelon of teams are more even as far a talent this year. But hopefully a little tougher scheduling this year will benefit is more. I do see us playing as a “team” more this year. Which is good, but maybe a little expected too. We shall see what the future holds.

3rd round is all East teams. So Franklin County is in the West. 4th round East and West is combined…

Oh, I'm not betting against them, just not sure they will finish the season undefeated. If we had injured guys healthy then I would feel much more confident. I've said it year after year, to be champions you have to be better than any other team in your class, regardless of the path to get to Kroger field. It does help to play tougher schedule as far as getting a team prepared for what's ahead, but you also have to take into consideration wear and tear on the athletes, home field vs away games. But if you have a team that plays together and the athletes that step up and make the plays when it counts, you can bring home the hardware regardless of SOS.

Lexington Catholic has the ruffest remaining schedule being LCA, Boyle and Scott County. That’s why I have them at the 4 spot…

Depending on the amount of losses they stack up it still might be in their favor given that JC lost to an out of state team that would be .500 while I’m sure the RPI would be higher for LC’s losses. I hope I explained that clearly hah. It’s late for me.

A lot of teams used to playing at home might find themselves on the road this year. Also, playing sister districts in the first 2 rounds will have a major impact on those 3rd round games.
