Could care less. But I dislike a small school who has a supremely talented kid lose it to a school that already has more than enough to win 4A. Anyone should be able to see that. The only exception is if moves are made by parents, job based, or a student athlete simply needs to move because maybe their sport is not offered in their hometown. If Boyle losses, or wins, I do not lose sleep. I have sat with Boyle fans when they've won (many many times), and when they've lost (a handful of times). I was just there to watch good football. But anyone that wants high-school to become transfer transfer transfer is not a real fan, in my book. Homers are obviously going to disagree.

 The families of any kid transferring has the right to move wherever they think is the best fit. The fact of the matter is if players were/wanting to move and transfer into the school you are a fan of you would welcome it with open arms. And anyone that says they would turn away a kid that has done everything right to transfer and move is lying.

How am I trying to appear smarter than you, by asking a very simple question? The only small minded notion here is that students should be restricted to stay and play at a school where they don't want to be.

Its stupid to have boundaries that public schools have to follow while it’s free reign for private schools. It’s also stupid that a couple quite large counties you can live within a county and go to any school you choose because they have a “program” that everyone wants to take to play football there but disguise it as a academic reason.

And then you have kids that want to play football their senior year and are being forced to wait and miss because their former school ain’t happy because they left without telling them? Ok…

If they’re within the rules to go, they need to be eligible. There are ways the KHSAA can combat this to keep it happening as a problem where they have to stay at their enrolled school for the school year for eligibility. There’s a kid I could name right now who is at his third high school and senior.Who cares what the reason is. Chasing rings, chasing wins, chasing dreams. I would’ve taken my son whenever he wanted success and happiness. I don’t care about your nonsense allegiances. Our school pride doesn’t mean a kid that leaves your school had it.

If you want to keep kids, have success enough to get the kids where they need to be. That simple. Stop and do what’s right for them. They only get 4 years to play. If we are lucky, we get a life time to be a fan of wherever we are. They need to be the priority. Not our egos.

If a person wants to transfer schools it’s not rocket science how to do it and be eligible. I’ve seen more kids than I can count transfer in my time and the only ones who don’t gain eligibility just don’t follow the rules/jump through the hoops. Financial status of the family definitely plays a huge role in the ability to relocate and thus ease of transfer. The idea that the khsaa is singling out people to deny eligibility in conflict with their rules doesn’t pan out or it would be a very simple and short court battle. Also anyone complaining about Boley is just sour grapes. His family considered relocating and explored options, doing anything different than exploring options where the best place to relocate was with a child of his talent would have been insane.
With that said, I think kids should be able to go to school where they want if they can get transportation to school every day.

Today is a holiday so it makes it a short week. I keep watching this post to see what happens as I’m generally curious. After I saw that beechwood score, I don’t know those kids change the outcome much but they have to help, right?

Elaborate more, do you mean the transfers or transfer that is at Beechwood?? I agree if that is what you are meaning.. a transfer can be a game changer to a team. It can have a imploding affect on a former team as well.

I mean for the guys out at Somerset. I’m not sure how many kids are being held out but it’s according to what they play to how big of a help they can be. I still think Beechwood wins regardless but you have to think added depth is a benefit going forward.

I am also wondering what the heck the hold up is. They’re approaching game 4 and have had at least a couple scrimmages and no word at all? So bizarre to me.
