JC will be a handful for North, I think it'll be a competitive match with +21 win going to JC.
BTW Bull you do excellent work with these postings. It's interesting to see past outcomes, much appreciated.

Johnson Central should beat North Laurel comfortably, barring a rash of fumbles, but the Jags will have had 2 weeks to prepare for the game. I think that JC will probably win this game with a running clock. The JC running backs are looking very impressive. They are not getting the downfield blocks that Grant Bingham provided but the offensive line has looked good so far.
JC needs to improve their kicking game ASAP. There were more bad snaps on XP attempts than good snaps against Fern Creek. It would be great to see that phase of the game improve before JC travels to Ironton next week. Ironton will be slight favorites in that game and missed extra point opportunities could make a difference.

I applaud Coach Chappel for upgrading the schedule but I’m not sure there’s a whole lot to get from this game other than maybe some injuries, good luck…

Will they keep upgrading the schedule and pick up Corbin, keep Bell, and add Knox or Pikeville. I know this is the class that’s so talked about and they have added players from Corbin, South Laurel, and Clay. They should play a good schedule next year

North had 4 out to injuries against Bell County. So Im curious to see if Johnson Central does put a running clock on North in the first half or in the second.....or if at all..... North had there defense buzzing against Boyle. Curious how this one will turn out myself. I will be attending this game to see for myself......

JC with a running clock in this one. I’m interested in seeing if Lawson’s carries increase week by week or not. He had one carry last week so does he get 3-4 this week. If he gets healthy that changes 4A.

The way that McCoart and Conley have been running the ball so far, it's going to be hard for Lawson to crack the starting lineup in the backfield. It would be tough for a coach to tell a kid averaging 9.5 yards a carry and over 100 yards rushing per game that he has lost his starting position - but Lawson had even better stats before his injury. Most coaches would welcome such a problem.
I wonder how well a no huddle running offense would work for JC? Not for every series, but as a way of exploiting their depth and for conditioning purposes. It would be nice to be able to go to a hurry up offense in the playoffs after practicing it some during district games. A criticism of offenses like JC's has always been that they can't afford to fall behind against a good team but JC has generally been as effective at mounting come backs as pass-oriented teams and pass-oriented teams often have trouble moving the chains when they try to sit on a lead.

I personally think that if JC was able to do so it would be very very hard on opposing defenses..Its already a challenge just to try to figure out how to stop the train but adding a faster train is a whole lot harder to stop...As the old saying is its hard to stop a train...

North Laurel was rocking on defense when I watched them in person against Boyle County.. North was healthy and had all there weapons..
I was told by some very reliable sources that the North team was without a big part of that defense when they went to Log Mountain......
If North is healthy, I do not look for a running clock early in this game... I talked to some Knox fans and they told me Bell was legit.... Well North went toe to toe with Bell with about 4 players not playing on defense...
So saying all that, if North is healthy I look for North to make this a closer game than a train wreck like a 1st quarter blowout.. Now if Johnson Central comes in and does that to this North team then 4A had better buckle up...... This train will be hard to stop... But if North can put a dent in the running clock by a few quarters or maybe hold off a running clock then it tells you that North is better than some are saying.. Then 4A might be a little closer than some might think.

I can see a late 4th Q running clock. I think JC will get their 400 rushing yds
Don't think you will see lawson kid, if so maybe 1 or 2 carries. I believe FullBack will have a good game.
Hope JC worked on XP

The snaps were not just low - the holder had to stretch to his left to get to some of them. I thought the holder (Dalton Matney, I believe) did a good job fielding the snaps but JC is not likely to attempt a field goal as long as he is having to field ground balls. I'm sure they will work out the kinks in the kicking game.

JC, I'm not sure I've ever picked against them, other than maybe Belfry a couple of years. Just a powerhouse of a program. Getting close to their sideline and their coaching, even after the great coach Matney passed, we were all impressed with the leadership JC has. Their freshman players even had a very high football IQ, listening to them talk to each other and just what they figured out after going in a play or two. The kids aren't really chit-chatting about a girlfriend, or this or that, they were talking about the game and trying to coach each other up as well. Super impressed with them every single time out. I did pick Boyle over them last year, just too much firepower and JC was young at some key spots.

North looks to remain 5A while Knox Central is looking to go down to 3A, the question out there right now is where will Corbin end up? Hearing a lot of chatter Corbin might be headed to 5A. Bell will remain 3A word has it.

Now thats my opinion.. I really like that idea. In one of Coach Peck’s interviews he talked about the biggest problem so far has been getting everybody enough carries to be satisfied. The hurry up for a few series would help take care of that. That for sure have the running backs to play a faster pace and start to really wear teams down. Even outside of the main 3 backs and Lawson they also have a freshmen, Logan music, who has had over 100 yards on 5 Carries in the first two games.
