Boyd County 83. Belfry 73 final per KHSAA score board
#1
Final off KHSAA scoreboard
#2
Where was Bol tonight, He wasn't anywhere to be seen tonight in the gym, word is he has taken his talents else where.
#3
Going to Ashland. That's why Jeff Tipton was sent to belfry.
#4
Has Bol left Belfry? Jason Frakes posted that Bol was at the Ballard vs CAL game last night watching.
#5
He can go wherever he wants. That’s just the way it works for some kids. Others that are 4.0 students but aren’t 7 foot from KY that want to transfer can’t can’t do the same.

Hopefully he gets to leave the “guardian” behind.

How did the end up at CAL? Who is the connection there? I bet Mark Thompson is fit to be tied at that move. The Courier-Journal from Louisville come done an interview with him and the team just a few days ago.

Who do you think god him to Louisville

I watched part of the game last night on my town. The Deng kid was on the bench last night. He's 6'10. I assumed he was staying with Bol. Any chance he gets eligible?

From what I’ve seen in other post it will be very difficult since he graduated from a Prep school last year.
#12
The other kid graduated from a prep in June. Did Hicks just up and leave him though as he was living in the same house as all of them?

Bol is apparently transferring to CAL.

Yep what I've heard too. Figured he'd end up at Ballard if he was going to Louisville. They have a top player in the state who is also from Sudan. Maker Bar. Did he even notify Belfry he was leaving? He played in the scrimmage for Belfry when they played Corbin.
#15
Wow a Belfry signee reopened his recruitment and entered the transfer portal...

Wonder how hard Belfry fights this move?
#17
Fighting it would bring a lot of scrutiny. If he doesn’t want to be there, let him go.

I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the mighty Bar vs. Bol battle.

D&D sports just posted that Bol will not be back at Belfry but will enroll in 1 of 2 Louisville schools. Take it for what it’s worth

Good luck to Bol but it does sound a little skeptical that the Courier-Journal from Louisville come to Belfry then less than a week later the transfer rumors start to CAL. Makes you really wonder who sent them down to Belfry. I think this transfer has everything to do with his guardian.

From reading social media and other sources I don’t think it was CJ but his handler looking for the BBD

At least we still get to hear Darryl say "Sal Dean" all season.

I just hope Bol gets good advice on whatever decision is made for him and his future. I watched that CJ interview and he says his plan is to go to college a year or two and then go to the league. I'm a big fan of his but he isn't no Anthony Davis. Best of luck to him in the future.

I haven’t seen the CJ interview but if someone is telling him he can go to the NBA in a couple years he is getting very bad advice. He needs all 5 years(red shirt) of college to develop then maybe. Big maybe. He wasn’t best player on Belfry. Sal Dean is that. Didn’t dominate the 15th region. I hope he develops and his dreams come true but for that to happen he needs away from the ones leading him now.

Breaking news: He isn't.

I mean if you are from a different country and have a guardian you can absolutely do whatever you want evidently. I see kids transfer a county away and have to go through KHSAA reviews and miss games, but these dudes just do whatever they want. Smart move if you are gonna transfer is to just divorce your parents and live with an AAU coach or something LOL. ITS CRAZY
#28
It really is crazy. The KHSAA is the dumbest organization I've ever seen. Everyone and his brother knows what's going on here but they just let it roll.

I seen Daniel Deng on the bench at the KOB against Male and Lyon County. I assumed him and Bol were together. What is he doing there if he's not gonna play? Does Belfry still think he has a chance to be eligible?

With the crazy rulings of the KHSAA who knows?  Belfry went 1-3 at KOB this weekend. Still no sightings of Kuir or word of actual enrollment in another school. I feel for both of these young men.
