The rebels return nearly there whole squad from last season, and Jonnie Martin WILL be back as the head coach for the rebels. I think its time for the rebels to get back on the winning edge after two losing seasons. What do you think?

Yes Especially with the talent from last season Ac only loses 2 seniors that actually got to play. AC should be back on this year with the upcoming talent and the returners ,it will be a good year in the 58th.

Should be solid!

Allen Central should be improved, I don't think they'll have a winning season but should post more wins than the last two season, to be fair they still don't have alot of talent on their squad but all Johnny Martins teams play hard, so they should improved i'd say they'll win somewhere between 7-10 games, I think the Collins boy is their best player and should provid some leadership for them...thats just my thoughts.

I think they are a few years away from a winnig season. They'll be down but you still have to support those kids.

AC will have a great season and will be well improved from the last 2 years, they are going to put all of that in the past and forget about it and hopefully they can have a great season like everyones used to seeing AC have just like the teams in the past

AC is going to have a much stronger team next year..A lot of good ball players are coming up and the ones from before are improving..Johnny could for sure take the boys to region with the talent he has and the team he's goin to have this upcoming year!

Betsy Layne played Allen Central today and won by over 10 points but i dont have any stats

good win for the raiders but the bobcats will be a bottom 5 team in the region this year.

Coach Martin will get things back on track. Nothing easy about that district but I look for his team to get back in the Regional tourney.

They should be pretty good next season.

Wanna know the bad part? Ac set out all of their seniors and Josh Prater whole different story when they play.

AC is the most experienced team in their district and they have one of the best players in the district...Josh Martin...they work really well together and hustle but Nick Music will be hard to replace for the rebels...he wouldn't any superstar but he was the heart and soul of that team showing a lot of leadership

AC returns key players which should help them. They also have a strong freshmen class this year.
08-15-2006, 05:56 PM
yes they do have a strong freshman class..they won the Floyd County Champonship last year and was in the finals the year before
08-15-2006, 06:08 PM
They play as hard as any team in the 15th. Johnny will bring them along. Good players and a good coach. Good tradition.

Coach Martin will get it done this season. Good Luck rebels!!!

Dont think so White Mike...........
SF Freshmen won the Floyd County Championship last year at BL, and when they were 8th graders, SFMS won County Champs at Stumbo....you may want to back up a few years....

you misunderstood me...AC's Middle School team won the Floyd County Championship (Middle School) last year and was in the finals the year before against SF

Allen Centrals Freshmen didn't participate in the Floyd County Freshmen Tourney this past season. They only had about 4 freshmen anyway, they filled their team w/ some of the 8th graders from ACMS.
This years freshmen at AC are pretty solid. As 4th graders they won the Floyd County Conference regular season but lost during the County Tourney to eventual C team champions MCA. As 5th graders they were County Conference Champs (undefeated) and County Tourney champions. In 6th grade they repeated as both County Conference Champions (undefeated) and County Tourney Champions for C-team. In seventh grade they finished second in the Right Beaver Classic, first in the Shag Campbell Tourney and finished 2nd in the County Conference and County Tourney for A-team. As 8th graders they finished second in the Right Beaver Classic, tied for County Conference champions and won the Floyd County Tourney. Chris Stumbo and Logan Crowder were named Co- players of the following their Floyd County Tourney championship game.

Allen Central does have a good freshman class comeing in. But I really dont think that a high school varsity team that is depending on incoming freshman to save their season is going to be in for a long year again.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

I don't think I said that the freshmen class were going to be saviors, I simply said they were solid.
